The dish is sealed and refrigerated for the night. The next day, melted butter and crushed cornflakes are combined and then poured evenly over the casserole. Finally, the whole dish is baked for forty five minutes to an hour and cooled slightly prior to serving.

It can take less than twenty minutes to prepare, and thirty to forty five minutes to bake. For a healthy breakfast, you can use chopped onion, bell pepper, eggs, milk, bacon bits and fiber-rich bread. You may use half egg substitute and half the usual eggs, as well as low-fat milk to cut down on calories and fat even further.
