Pizza Makes You Fat

Italy conquers the world not through Mussolini but via the classic comfort food, the pizza. Originally the pizza was merely a flatbread. People in Italy didn't even top it with anything other than olive oil and herbs. Today, pizza is a multi-million fast food chain. In Alberta, Canada, pizza shops are everywhere. People can have pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The flatbread from Italy has even evolved into rolled pizzas, pizza with bread covers, and even joined the world records where largest pizza measured 37.40 meters in diameter. Now that can feed a whole town of pizza lovers!

Ordering a pizza is the best thing that happened to food and the worse thing that happened to the body. People can stay on the internet all day doing their jobs and never getting up to prepare a meal or two because pizza is just a few clicks away. Upon arrival, it can very well sit on the same work table and by the time you know it, you've done a whole box of pizza while doing work.

But who could not love pizza! The spices that go into it bring aromatic flavors miles away. The layers of cheese melting, not only one but three, activate your salivary glands. Toppings can anything that is an all time favorite or it can be everything-on-it. And as if that's the end of it. Pizza sauces are spread all over on top making the meal a delight to behold and something to covet.

Unfortunately, pizza is fattening. First the cheese has so much calories and cholesterol content. The sauces add more. The toppings if they are processed meats will get the calorie scale to the top. The usual pizzas count to almost 1000 calories which accounts for half the calorie one needs a day. Eating a slice is therefore equal to a can of coke. But who gets satisfied with just one slice? If you're really hungry and need a quick bite, go to your local jennycraig and order some healthy and low calorie food. Who knows you might love their food.

But pizza by itself is not fattening if the ingredients are not. If there's such a thing as pizza without the cheese lining then there is hope. Getting the cheese out is almost getting half the calories out. Toppings can be altered also. Vegetarian pizzas use no meats on their meals. Adding more pepperoni to pepperoni pizza is logical. They call these pizza, pizza salads. Pizzas are ought to be shared with friends therefore eaten for special occasion only. Solo size pizzas can even be shared with a weight loss buddy. One good example of a low calorie pizza is the weightwatcherspizza.

If one really needs to have pizza then the advice is not to have cola or beer with it. The consequences will be dire and the weight loss program can fail. Cola will just add to the calorie that pizza has. The spice of the pizza is great with beer but unless one promises to run a mile or two the next day, then the beer should be scheduled for another day.

But still, hope is not lost if one just can't stop craving for this Italian love. Diet pills, weight loss drinks and patches can save the day. Depression is harder to cure. Being broken hearted is easier than self-suppressing oneself to a delicious Italian favorite. Soon enough with weight loss programs, eating pizza on a normal level like one or two slices instead of one or two delivered boxes at a time will happen. Then the love affair with pizza can continue in moderation.

Build Muscle - Must Have Meals to Build Muscle

If you are serious about being able to build muscle, you need to get serious about your diet. Diet is going to be a huge contributing factor to your success, so if you don't have a firm grasp over this, you are not going to get the body you're after.

Making sure to plan the meals you are going to eat each week is going to really help you build muscle in the long run. The less you have to think about your meals, the easier it will be to follow the diet and thus gain weight.

Having a set of muscle building meals that you can fall back on when times get busy will give you the assurance you need to know that you can in fact put on the weight.

Here is a list of meals that should be regular standby's on your muscle building plan.

Big Bodybuilding Breakfast

In order to build muscle, you need to be sure you stop the overnight fasting period with a solid meal to start your day. You'll want a good dose of protein, carbs, and dietary fat in this meal, helping you get a kickstart on your high calorie intake.

For a fast option, prepare 1 cup of raw dry oats with milk. Once it's finished cooking, mix in one scoop of protein powder (chocolate or vanilla will work nicely) along with 2 tbsp of peanut butter.

This single bowl will have you eating close to 700 calories, will have a perfect combination of protein, carbs, and fat, and can be made in five minutes flat.

The Lowdown On Lunch

If you're looking for a lunch meal on the fly, consider preparing two cups of whole wheat pasta, throwing a can of salmon over top (if you can tolerate the bones, that's helpful as they have added calcium - if not, remove them beforehand), then drizzle on 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil and ½ cup of tomato based pasta sauce.

While the pasta's boiling, microwave 1-2 cups of frozen vegetables to help get your vitamin intake for the day and toss this with the pasta and salmon at the end. Finally, top the meal off with 2 tbsp of Parmesan cheese and you've got a filling meal that will help you pack on the muscle.

Muscle-Building Pizza Dinner

If you prepare pizza yourself, it can actually be a terrific option for those trying to build muscle, while keeping off the fat.

To prepare this, purchase a pizza crust and smear it with pizza sauce. On top of that, place some pre-cooked diced chicken, some thinly sliced ham, and any vegetables you prefer. Sprinkle on some low-fat cheese and then place in the over until the cheese is melted and crust is toasted.

This going to be a better option than having pizza at a restaurant or eating one of those freezer brand ones as it will have more protein and less saturated fat.

So, next time you're in need of a fast meal, keep these three in mind. Preparing meals designed to help you build muscle does not need to be difficult so long as you are willing to get a little creative and aren't an overly picky eater.

Baking With Biscuits

Making your own biscuits from scratch is a fun and easy process and you can then enjoy them alone or for complementing a number of interesting dishes to create an entire, rather filling meal.

In the country of England, biscuit is the word used to describe cookie but in most other parts of the world, biscuits are circular shaped, flaky breads that usually feature a rich buttery taste. Biscuits can take the place of sliced bread or rolls and they can be topped with a wide variety of tasty ingredients.

Biscuits are typically about an inch or two thick and approximately two to four inches around in diameter. Made from a biscuit mix, all purpose flour, self rising flour, or wheat flour and leavened with baking powder, biscuits can be perfect as a side dish for lunch or dinner when topped with gravy or sauce. In addition, for breakfast or brunch, top biscuits with butter, jams, jellies, or marmalade.

When it comes to making biscuits, the dry ingredients should be stirred well to mix thoroughly and if butter is called for in the recipe, it should be used cold. Always handle the dough gently and as little as possible to keep it from toughening up. Stir constantly with a fork while adding liquid ingredients slowly.

You will know the biscuit dough is ready when it is no longer sticking to the sides of the mixing bowl. Sprinkle flour on a flat surface and gently turn the dough over to coat. Then, knead a few times quickly and lightly to smooth the dough out.

If you have a biscuit cutter, dip it in flour before using it otherwise do the same with a sharp knife before cutting the dough into circular shapes. Cut the biscuits out close together to avoid wasting any of the dough. If you want your biscuits to have a soft crust they should be placed on the baking sheet close together, but if you want a crispier biscuit they should be about an inch apart to bake.

For golden brown biscuits, brush them with butter before baking and remove them from the oven when both the tops and bottoms are a rich brown color. You can use leftover biscuits for feeding the birds, for making various dishes, or reheat the next day wrapped in aluminum foil in a warm oven for about 10 minutes.

Cheesy Pizza Biscuits Recipe

What You Need

2 tubes refrigerated biscuits
2 cups pizza sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup mushrooms, chopped
1 cup green peppers, chopped
Salt and black pepper to taste

How to Make It

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a large mixing bowl, combine both tubes of refrigerated biscuits followed by the pizza sauce, half of the shredded cheeses and all of the chopped mushrooms and peppers. Mix well then season the mixture with salt and black pepper to taste if desired.

Pour the mixture into a greased 9 x 13 baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove from the oven and add the remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheeses and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheeses are bubbly and golden brown.

Serves 6.

Restaurants - Pizza Parlors

If you live in the United States, you can't drive for more than two blocks in any major city or town without seeing a pizza parlor. You would think that they were giving away gold at these places the way they're packed throughout the day. So what is it with these establishments that Americans just can't get enough of them? We'll take a look at some of the finer points of your not so finer eating place.

For one thing, pizza parlors, sometimes referred to as pizzerias, are open much later than most of your other restaurants in the states, except maybe for your late night diner, which we'll cover in another article. Pizza parlors are many times open til past midnight. Most don't even open until after 12 noon as very few people have pizza for breakfast, though I am sure there are some people who would eat it then too.

Breakfast Pizza

As for the food itself, well, that really depends on the parlor itself. They are not all the same. The smaller ones usually don't have much of a selection. As a matter of fact, there are some pizza parlors that only have maybe two or three varieties of pizza. The most common ones for the small parlor are plain, sausage and pepperoni. Maybe you'll get an extra cheese as well, but that's about it. Also, with these really small places, most of which you can find on the beaches, they don't even sell whole pies. It's by the slice and that's it. And don't expect anything other than a slice of pie and a soda or fruit drink.

As we work our way up to the larger places, the next size parlor will usually have a couple more varieties and also make whole pies. These places will usually have a soda case where you can pick out from a variety of drinks. Or you can order a fountain drink as well. The prices of these parlors are also usually a little lower than the places that only sell slices because they work on a higher profit margin since they don't have as much product.

Finally, we get to the really large pizza parlors. These places will have just about every type of pie you can think of including mushroom, anchovy, broccoli, Sicilian and a host of others. You can usually see the variety of slices lined up on the counter as you walk in. But pizza isn't where these places stop. You can also get a host of other items such as hot and cold subs. The hot subs are usually meatball and sausage. The cold subs are a variety of cold cuts such as roast beef, turkey, salami and ham as well as a number of cheeses that they cover these with. And then finally, many of the large parlors have hot meals as well such as spaghetti and meatballs, ziti and linguini and clam sauce. Their drink selection is also usually off the charts as well.

Of course if you just want a plain slice of pizza, in the good old US of A, you can go just about anywhere.

Cute Garnishes With Bento Cutters

Garnishes are something that lend a professional touch to any homecooked meal. If you want to impress your guests and amaze your family with the high level of your cooking, often a few simple garnishes can make all the difference.

Most people know about the parsley sprig or the squiggle of salsa verde on the plate, but if you haven`t used bento cutters then you are missing out on a whole other world of garnishing!

What is a Bento Cutter?

Quite simply, it's a small cookie cutter, but designed for fruit and vegetables. Japanese mothers use them to create cute food cutouts with which to decorate their children's lunches or bentos. But there's no need to relegate them to Japan, bento supplies are appearing all over the world these days and you can make use of them to turn ordinary meals into something truly special.

Bento cutters come in all kinds of cute shapes, from regular ones such as circles and stars or hearts, to more complex shapes like puppies, teddy bears and cars. They are usually about an inch or less in length, though some are larger. This makes bento cutters perfect for garnishes!

How to Create Your Garnishes

There are so many ways to turn out cute garnishes. One way is to slice carrots thinly and then stack them up and stamp out stars or hearts. Toss these into a regular salad to make it an extra special one.

Heart shaped cheese and ham make lovely adornments atop sandwiches or pizza or even your lasagna. Basically, anything remotely soft can be turned into a garnish with a bento cutter. Think about breakfast plates . . . rather than adorn the plate with a plain old slice of lemon, cut a heart out of the middle. Use the lemon hearts to float in the lemonade or orange stars in fresh squeezed orange juice.

You can also stamp out a shape, such as a teddy out of the corner of a piece of bread and use it as the top piece in a sandwich, letting the filling show through. Bento cutters can be used to create truly unique pie crusts, too. Just stamp out the shapes you want from the top crust and use them to adorn the edges.

These are just a few ways to use bento cutters to create fun garnishes that will turn your food into something special. Check out the shapes available and use your imagination to spice up ordinary food.

Best Pizza Restaurants in Chicago

Chicago pizza is synonymous with deep-dish pies that have cheese on the bottom and sauce on the top. But Chicago pizza restaurants serve every kind of pizza you can imagine - from Neapolitan pies baked in a wood-burning oven to gourmet pizzas with fancy toppings.

Whether you're craving a thin-crust, Chicago deep dish, or tavern-style pizza, there's a Chicago pizzeria that will satisfy your longing.

Breakfast Pizza

The preeminent Chicago pizza restaurant is Pizzeria Uno. In business since 1943, their deep-dish concoction was an immediate hit. And Pizzeria Due opened not long after a block away. If you don't want the full deal, you can order a relatively healthy flatbread with toppings like spinach, eggplant, and feta cheese. These days, you don't have to come to Chicago to enjoy one. With 165 locations in 27 states, there may be one near you.

The other famous Chicago pie maker is Lou Malnati. His dad, Rudy, used to be the chef at Pizzeria Uno, and some think he is the actual inventor of the Chicago style. Lou opened his restaurant in the suburbs in 1971, and nearly 40 years later there are 30 locations in the Chicago area. They're noted for the flaky, buttery crust. If you can't get to Chicago to enjoy one, they'll ship one to you on dry ice.

If you've never tried a stuffed pizza, Bacino's is a great place to start. Dan Bacin, the owner, is committed to fresh ingredients, so his pies are healthier than most. Spinach, broccoli, and mushroom is one of the most popular. You can sample it at their restaurant or at the Taste of Chicago, where they've had the top selling pizza for the last 30 years.

For gourmet, thin-crust pies, Bricks Chicago has out-of-the-ordinary choices with fun names like Sweet Heat, which has barbecue sauce, mozzarella, chicken breast, bacon, and smoked gouda. With spicy shrimp, red peppers, and basil pesto, Creole Shrimp is another favorite. There's a good selection of draught and bottle beers to accompany your meal too.

Coalfire makes the best Neapolitan pizza in Chicago. The coal-fired oven delivers a pie with a crispy, but chewy crust that has some charring on the bottom. Because of the intense heat, they cook very quickly, so three or fewer pizza toppings are recommended. The Margherita and the white pizza with mozzarella, ricotta, Romano cheese, and fresh basil are best sellers. They've recently added beer and wine.

Crust cooks up innovative, flatbread pizzas that are made with organic ingredients. The menu here is more ambitious than most with cocktails created with house-made vodka infusions, and starters like winter beet salad and Brussels sprouts with crispy bacon. The Carbonara pie with bacon, egg, and caramelized onions, and the special made with braised beef brisket, pepper jack cheese, and barbecue sauce are real standouts.

In business since 1974, Giordano's is famous for their pies stuffed with cheese. When the Giordano brothers came to Chicago from Italy, they couldn't find a pizza as good as mama's. So they set out to make their own double-crust pies. They're topped with everything from sausage to shrimp. But it's the stringy, chewy mozzarella you'll remember.

Sapore di Napoli is another great choice for Naples-style pies. Many of their ingredients, including the flour, buffalo mozzarella, and salami, are imported from Campania, Italy. And they ship Stanislaus tomatoes in from California. With gorgonzola, mozzarella, fontina, and Parmigiano-Reggiano, the four cheese pie here is a real winner. The gelato is a delicious end to your meal.

Leftover Pizza Recipes

Are looking for the quickest pizza recipe, the easiest pizza recipe, and the best tasting pizza recipe? Look no further then last night's leftovers.

That's right. Those containers of recently munched on Chinese food, that uneaten slab of beef those leftover stir fry veggies or the vodka sauce from last night's pasta can all help you harness the power of the pizza gods and bestow upon you a terrific tasting, one of a kind pizza.

Breakfast Pizza

Not sold on using leftovers to make pizza? An added bonus of making "leftovers" pizza is that it simplifies the pizza making process; allowing pizza to take its rightful place as the mid-week, after work, after grad-school, after the gym dinner that it was intended to be.

Before you go all willy-nilly-mad-scientist on your pizza, you might consider the following:

o Don't overtop your pizza

Imagine, if you will, what the bottom of your oven will look like caked with pizza toppings. Or worse, how your pants or shirt will look stained with pizza sauce. Despite my personal beliefs, pizza stained clothes never impress or so I am told. So be sure to use an appropriate amount of toppings. And that goes for calzones too, which tend to leak if overstuffed.

o Don't mix flavors that taste bad together

Braunsweiger and peanut butter or how about sweet and sour chicken and refried beans? Unless you are under attack by mid-pregnancy flavor cravings,it's better to stick with the flavor pairings that you already know and love.

o Avoid wet soggy leftovers if possible

While this may seem like a no brainer, cold items can fool you. Even a mildly moist item may leak fluid when heated.

o Experimenting with pizza toppings is always fun

It is always fun to experiment with pizza toppings to create new pizza recipes. Try changing your cheese combinations; who is up for an asiago/fontina blend over beef and broccoli leftovers? Maybe add a little cheddar, brie, or chabichou du poitou to your mozzarella topping to spice things up a bit.

Using leftovers on pizza can be a fun, fast, easy way to enjoy the original meal a second time, not to mention that it will free up room in the fridge. Who knows when you will create the ultimate pizza recipe that will transform pizza forever. Or most likely, you will just have a terrific pizza dinner and a wonderful pizza recipe.

Take Time to Eat a Healthy Breakfast

Studies show that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Eating a healthy and big breakfast in the morning jump starts a person's metabolism, giving them the energy to think and work for the rest of the day. From a dieting standpoint, breakfast is extremely crucial because it gets the body burning calories right away, making it easier for the body to burn calories for the rest of the day.

One of the problems with having a big, healthy breakfast in the morning is that most people don't have the time. Too many people around the country skip breakfast, opting for a to-go cup of coffee instead. People who do eat breakfast in the morning settle for sugary cereals or to-go greasy hash browns from fast-food joints.

The best way to eat a healthy and nourishing Phoenix breakfast is to wake up 10 minutes earlier. There are a lot of healthy breakfast options for people who take just a few minutes in the morning to cook up something fulfilling. Eggs are definitely the healthiest breakfast option out there. Two scrambled eggs take less than 5 minutes to cook, and less than 2 minutes to eat. Add just a scoop of fresh salsa to the cooked eggs, and it's a quick meal with a lot of flavor.

For those who enjoy cereal and milk in the morning, stop buying the sugary cereals that have practically no nutritional value. Find whole grain cereals and sweeten them with fresh bananas, blueberries, or strawberries. Instead of buying 2% milk, buy skim milk or light vanilla soy milk. This will make a cereal based breakfast pack a lot more punch for the day.

Why Missing Breakfast is a Bad Idea

If there is one way to control our energy levels as the start of the day and keep them consistent for the day then it is having a good breakfast. Have you ever avoided eating in the morning and felt like this was a great way to lose weight or fight the flab? you probably thought "well, it must be good because I'm cutting out one meal a day!" This is hardly ever a good idea because avoiding eating in the morning affects our energy levels and mood for the whole day. It sounds like a good idea on paper but it isn't. Let me tell you why.

Downsides of missing breakfast:
Your metabolism slows down due to the lack of food and energy to use and so energy reserves are conserved. This will probably make you less efficient and productive. You are more likely to give in to those unhealthy, sugary snacks. This will make your energy plummet in the later part of the day as your blood sugar levels drop again. Some research claims that by missing breakfast you are more likely to put on weight by eating more. Your body might decide to eat your muscles as a way of gaining energy - muscle loss could be the result.

Breakfast Pizza

Benefits of having a good breakfast:
Your metabolism gets a good boost when eat in the morning. It gets woken up from its dozy state and gets your energy up and running and ready to face the day's challenges. You can fill up on fibre which is an essential part of a healthy diet. Fibre helps you avoid putting on weight, keeps you, err, regular and helps you feel full. It's good for your concentration, alertness and mood.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for several reasons and we are denying ourselves a vital opportunity for governing our energy and our ability to deal with life if we choose to miss it. A simple, healthy breakfast without too much sugar will help us focus and work at the things that are important in our lives.

Nutrisystem Sample Menu - A Typical Day's Worth of Food on This Diet

I get a lot of emails asking me about the food offerings, taste, and variety of the Nutrisystem foods.  I understand this because when I was researching this diet, the food was what I was most interested in also.  After all, you're going to be eating this food at almost every meal (unless you go with the flex program) so it's important that you'll actually find it enjoyable or at least tolerable.  Because if you don't, it's just not going to be a positive experience that you'll want to repeat or stick with. So, in the following article, I'll list what would be a sample or typical menu for me so that you can see what a day might be like should you chose this diet.

Decent Amounts Of Variety, Decent Taste: Before I get into the actual meals, I want to take a minute to assure you that the food really is not that bad.  Most of it is not only edible, but actually pretty good. And the choices are pretty plentiful on Nutrisystem. There are over 170 foods to chose from, and much of them are comfort foods, snacks and desserts.  You really do get to eat pizza, burgers, tacos, and cake on this plan.  And while this fare doesn't exactly taste like junk food, it's decent enough and you have to appreciate being able to eat these things because not all diets would allow this.

Sample Nutrisystem Breakfast I think that breakfast is really composed of the best that this diet has to offer.  There are so many decent choices here.  I love the blueberry muffins and scones. The pancakes are decent too.  I don't like oatmeal as a general rule, but the diet oatmeal tastes a lot like Quaker brand, and the cereal is a nice option to have, as this is technically a low carb diet.  I suppose the only option that I steer clear of for breakfast is the eggs, but I don't like non diet eggs either.

Nutrisystem Mid Morning Snack Offerings:  The premise of this diet consists of three meals, one snack, and dessert.  I like to have my snack mid morning, but you could have it at any time.  I know a lot of people who have it at around 3 o'clock when they begin to get hungry for dinner.  I like to have the pretzels or the chips here.  You can also have some of the dessert foods as your snack, and although I will do this sometimes, I often try and stick to the salt for my snack rather than the sweet.

Nutrisystem Lunch Sample Menu: If there is a weakness of the  diet, the lunch is it, in my opinion.  There are just too many soup options and I don't like soup.  I finally wised up and learned to just order more dinners with my package.  This doesn't cost anymore and the company allows you to hand pick your foods.  However, if I did have to chose from the lunch foods, I'd go with the cheese tortellini or the fudge bar. The chicken salad isn't too bad either.

Typical Nutrisystem Dinner: The offerings become much better here.  There's a lot to like.  I find the pizza to be pretty good (I like the flat bread variety.) The macaroni and cheese and lasagna are also good.  The tacos require a little dressing up, but they can be made to be tasty.  The mushroom risotto is addictive and I would eat this even if I were not on a diet.  The texture on this is wonderful and very creamy.

Nutrisystem Dessert Choices: This too is where the diet shines.  There is not one option that I don't like in this category, but I'd have to say that my favorites are the almond biscotti and the chocolate cake. If I had to pick my least favorite, it would probably be the strawberry short cake bar as this really isn't like your traditional dessert, but this one is still pretty tasty. I just would rather they have made it an actual cake or muffin rather than a bar.

You would have the same menu if you you went with the flex plan.  The foods offered aren't any different. What's different is that you're only eating the foods five days out of the week rather than every day.  You get any two days off on the flex plan so it's the cheapest option out there.

Want to see a full food list? Ava's Nutrisystem Review Website features videos, more details on the flex plan, tips, coupons ($100 off or weeks of food for free), comparisons to other popular diets, information on the counseling, and FAQs related to success on this diet. Eat Your Breakfast!

It never ceases to amaze me how many people do not eat breakfast!

From trades-people to service providers, executives to kids, real estate agents to bankers, they do not eat the meal that breaks the fast.

Breakfast Pizza

The meal that would make them stronger, healthier and much easier to be around.

the meal that would make them more successful.

I have found that people who do not eat breakfast are extremely cranky.

These individuals' idea of breakfast may either be a cup of coffee or tea, or even fruit juice, all useless by themselves. The caffeine drinks jazz them up and the fruit juice is just sugar, which has a similar effect. A huge rise and a great fall.

It would be so much easier on me, and others who do eat a nutritious breakfast each day if others in business would do the same.

Yes, I may sound selfish, however, I am a little frustrated with being forced to deal with certain individuals in the morning that have not had a healthy breakfast.
They can be cranky, abrupt, and short-tempered and have a bad memory.

It doesn't help that they may have a decent lunch; I am dealing with them in the morning. No choice, in most instances.

Some say they have no time. Well, if you have time to get dressed, you have time to eat something. Get up earlier to exercise, meditate and eat breakfast!

Susan has been in her field for over twenty years. Her point is that she either sleeps or eats breakfast, and sleeping always wins out. The best she has been able to accomplish regarding breakfast is a protein drink. Not bad, but could be better.

Susan says that if she sleeps, gets into work on time, there is usually a staff meeting. The meeting ends at 11:00 AM or so and too late for breakfast, so wait for lunch. Starving, the employees run off to gorge on lunch, yet still have to work hard in the afternoon. Most times, they have eaten two meals in one, of which most will turn to fat and they will certainly be drowsy during the remainder of the day.

Protein is good for breakfast; so consider making hard-boiled eggs at the beginning of the week. Best case scenario, take an egg in the car each day and eat a few grams of protein. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, scramble some tofu in advance, roll into an organic tortilla and you are on your way.

You can eat last night's dinner - maybe a piece of chicken, pizza or grilled vegetables. Or make yourself some eggs, egg whites or peanut butter on toast.

Or brown bag your breakfast. Raid the fridge and put it together the night before.

A nasty side effect from not eating breakfast is over eating at lunch. Too much food, too little time to digest and it quickly turns to fat. Which means you gain weight.

A benefit from eating breakfast is that it helps you maintain or even lose weight.

And it is better for the brain, and me, especially if I have to talk business with you.

So, do yourself, your co-workers and me a favor.

Eat your breakfast to be successful!

The South Beach Diet Plan - How I Made it Through Phase 1

I love to eat! I guess that's why I hate dieting so much.

Most of those fad diets either totally restrict you from eating the foods you love (and crave), or they make you eat an overabundance of the foods that are well, not my favorite.

After all, how many eggs, peanuts or oranges can you really eat? I guess that's why I was so hesitant to follow my friends on the South Beach Diet bandwagon.

They were all trying it, and yes, even losing weight. I watched enviously as their waistlines got smaller and smaller, but couldn't get their groans and complaints out of my head during those first few days and weeks on the program.

Give up all sugar, carbs and fats for two whole weeks! Not me! No way! Not even for a smaller dress size.

Then I went to see my doctor for an unwell feeling I couldn't shake. I wasn't really sick, I just felt tired and icky all of the time. After some tests, he told me my glucose levels were rising, my cholesterol was hitting an all-time high, and even my blood pressure was boiling.

Me? Ms. Healthy? I knew it was time to get serious, so I asked around and did some research and actually found out that, in addition to being a "diet," the South Beach plan was being used by people not only as a safe way to lose the weight that affects your health, but it also teaches you how to eat in a more nutritious and satisfying way.

Okay, time to give it a try. And the very first thing I ran up against - you're probably heard about it -- was the dreaded "Phase I" of the South beach Diet Plan: the "hell of restriction," as my friends like to cal it.

Luckily, I knew so many people who've been on the diet already, I could turn to them for assurance and advice.

By the way, that's Tip #1: Get a Support System in Place.

For me it made all the difference. I honestly don't know if I would have succeeded without the support of my friends. They shared their tips and stories of surviving the first 14 days on the program and made me feel like I could too. Here are some of my favorite survival tips:

o Indulge in one last favorite meal and dessert before starting the diet

o Get everything that's not allowed to touch your lips in the first 14 days out of the house and threaten anyone who dares to sneak in contraband foods

o Keep a daily journal about your feelings during Phase I (its great to read how those cravings and yearnings really affected the way you think and feel after it's all just a distant memory

o Avoid mall shopping during Phase I (the smells of the food court will kill you)

o Don't plan on attending any family gatherings, school functions, parties, etc. for two full weeks (become a hermit)

I'll admit it, during those first few days on South Beach all I wanted was to dive headfirst into a bag of chocolate chip cookies, dipped in whipped cream, with a side a fries and a big slice of pizza.

But when a friend came over and cooked me the most delicious meal of lean chicken and sautéed veggies sprinkled with low-fat cheese (yes, I said cheese!), I knew that I'd make it.

That's Tip #2: Presentation.

The plate she set before me could have rivaled one found in any five-star restaurant. I learned that night that a beautifully prepared plate of colorful veggies cooked to perfection out beats a bag of Oreos 10 to 1.

Within a week my grumpiness was subsiding - after all, my sugar levels were leveling out and my blood pressure was coming down - and I wasn't even craving junky stuff anymore. I was actually looking forward to finding new ways to prepare and serve my new healthier food choices.

Which leads me to Tip #3: Learn to Cook.

Since starting South Beach I have learned how to really enjoy cooking. Watching a variety of cooking shows and incorporating their ideas using my South Beach approved foods was one way I found to survive the first phase of the program, since you can always find new and interesting ways to prepare and enjoy the foods I was permitted.

I couldn't believe when the two weeks were over. It seemed to go by so fast, and then I was allowed to start reintroducing some of my favorites again into my daily eating plan, like fresh fruit and bread (thank God!).

The best part was I no longer craved some of those no-no foods like cake, ice cream and even, yes, those diet buster cookies! And I managed to lose a whopping 12 pounds, a true triumph for someone like me who had never been able to follow any diet for longer than a day or two before!

Was starting the South Beach Diet difficult? Yes, in the first few days, but it sure was worth it!

Did you know that most people who don’t complete the South Beach Diet Plan drop out because they can’t make it through Phase 1? Want to avoid becoming a part of that statistic? Breakfast Tips For Busy People

When you wake up, your stomach is at its strongest, with digestive enzymes flowing. That is why breakfast is so important - skip breakfast and you will gradually weaken your stomach and your digestive function as a whole.

No matter how little you eat in the morning, you should eat something. Ideally, sit down for a bowl of organic porridge. As well as waking you up gradually, this will stave off hunger pangs throughout the day.

Breakfast Pizza

Weight loss without cutting meals

While many people think they will lose weight faster by skipping breakfast, quite the reverse is true.

Eating substantially less food will slow your metabolism, making it harder to for your body to burn fat. You will also be more likely to binge on sugary snacks to fight the feeling that you're famished.

A healthy breakfast, on the other hand, gives your body the ideal start, speeding up your metabolism and making it easier to drop excess weight.

So, strange as it may seem, the key to losing weight is often to eat more, not less. Just make sure you eat more of the right type of foods!

Other breakfast benefits

Eating a healthy breakfast is vital for your mind as well as your body.

Extensive studies have shown that, as well as helping to improve your mood, eating breakfast aids concentration and improves memory - indeed school children who skip breakfast generally perform worse at school, and it is the same for adults at work.

If you want your brain to function at 100% for the whole day, a healthy breakfast is crucial.

Healthy breakfast ideas

A proper breakfast is the ideal way to start the day, but you may get bored if you have porridge or cereal everyday. The solution is simple - mix up your breakfasts.

If you want something sweeter, for example, why not start the day with a punnet of your favorite berries?

Alternatively, blend some fruits together into a delicious smoothie. You can experiment with a wide range of different fruits, so the variety of smoothies you can make is practically endless!

To savor the goodness of fresh vegetables, you can make a quick omelet with some mushrooms or spinach. This contains lots of protein so makes a great, healthy treat.

Provided you avoid bacon and eggs dripping in fat, having breakfast will help you become healthier, happier and more fulfilled.

Fitting breakfast into the day

Some people complain they are too busy, and simply can't find the time to sit down and have breakfast.

However, if you start by having a quick piece of fruit for breakfast, you will quickly get into the rhythm of making time to eat in the morning.

Eventually you will find yourself going to bed earlier and waking up refreshed after a good night's sleep with plenty of time to prepare some healthy and nutritious food.

Whether you want to lose weight or simply become a little healthier, it is vital that you start the day with a wholesome, nourishing breakfast.

Eat A Good Wholesome Breakfast

Some Good Advice - Ignore It And Gamble

To improve your overall health and enjoy an enriched lifestyle full of zest, energy and well-being stick to certain basics. Naturally there are more topics that can be added to the list of things one should do to maintain a healthy lifestyle. There are no guarantees, but eating a healthy breakfast every day is surely one of the most important and basic things one should do every day. Ignore this then you are definitely gambling with your future well-being. A cup of coffee and a cigarette will never replace a good breakfast.

The old folks knew the importance of a good and healthy breakfast. Blood pressure tablets and what-have-you-type pills did not exist. Has quality of life really improved? Here I am referring to good old-fashioned healthy living, where things happened at a more leisurely pace. Many studies and research have shown, that people who eat a healthy breakfast are less prone to have cholesterol problems, vitamin and mineral deficiencies in their systems. Another important reason for eating a healthy breakfast each day is to maintain a healthy colon. Make time in your busy schedule to sit down, relax and enjoy a good healthy fiber-rich breakfast.

Should you be running late then take your cereal, or a mixture of cereals with you to work so that you are able to eat when time permits. People who persist with a fiber-rich breakfast generally feel much better than those who do not, and are less prone to pick up problems like diabetes, and obesity.

To enjoy the full benefits of a healthy breakfast the Mayo Clinic recommends a breakfast made up of carbohydrates, protein, and a small amount of fat. They allege that no single ingredient can provide all the nutrients one's body needs. Therefore, it is necessary to consume different kinds of food. Despite the knowledge and advice available why a good breakfast is so very important, people come up with all sorts of inane excuses why they do not eat breakfast at all. Think about the word breakfast and the meaning. (Break the fast).

For some people to make time to sit down and eat a breakfast, they must of necessity get up earlier in the mornings. If you really cannot sacrifice sleep then take your breakfast with you to work, and enjoy it when you read your email, for example. My personal favorites are a mixture of, raw oats, Weet-bix, two different kinds of muesli, one with nuts, and the second without nuts but with a mixture of tropical fruit. When you feel that you need something to chew on, why not chew on the mixture I have just mentioned, it is very tasty and enjoyable. Milk and sugar are not necessary! Enjoy it dry.

Lastly drink tea in the morning instead of coffee. Caffeine-free tea is much better. Caffeine can induce dehydration. Please cut down on sugar, and avoid products like "Equal", "Equisweet", and similar products because they all contain a substance called Aspartame, which is bad news. These products have been banned in certain countries and removed from the shelves of certain supermarkets.

The following was obtained from the Internet:

"In 1994 the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a list of 61 reported adverse reactions including: chest pains, asthma, arthritis, migraine headaches, insomnia, seizures, tremors, vertigo, and weight gain. The surprising item on that list is "weight gain," given the fact that aspartame is the sweetener used in most diet soft drinks. In fact, according to one study, aspartame may actually STIMULATE appetite, prompting cravings for calorie-rich carbohydrates.

But weight gain is nothing compared to some of the horror stories out there.

Aspartame is made by combining two amino acids with methanol. According to an article by Dr. Joseph Mercola, methanol is the probable trigger for most of the adverse reactions. When aspartame is combined with the enzyme chymotrypsin in the small intestine, methanol is released and breaks down into formaldehyde, a potent neurotoxin. The US Environmental Protection Agency considers methanol to be a "cumulative poison" and recommends a safe consumption of no more than 7.8 mg per day. If you drink a one-liter beverage containing aspartame, your body creates seven times that amount - about 56 mg of methanol.

But it gets even worse. Because if the product containing it is heated to a temperature above 30 degrees Celsius, "free methanol" is created, speeding up the absorption of methanol, and magnifying the effects of the neurotoxins. Nevertheless, in 1993 the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the use of aspartame in food items such as gelatin desserts that require heating well over the 30-degree range.

The result? People are hurting. According to the FDA's Adverse Reaction Monitoring System, approximately 75 percent of all complaints received about food additives are aspartame-related: 3 out of every 4! And yet the FDA still refuses to acknowledge the evidence that aspartame could be endangering public health.

Hold the toxin

In spite of the clear dangers, health officials have ignored calls for a ban and have resisted efforts to establish a warning label, stating (completely contrary to all the evidence) that complaints against the sweetener aren't sufficient to warrant such a warning.

But really, what good would a warning label do? Does the average consumer actually read the fine print on his can of diet Sprite?

Tell your friends and family about the potential dangers of aspartame. Spread the word."

Do a search on Google and type in the word "aspartame" and see what comes to light. What can one assume from all the evidence that is available worldwide about "Aspartame"? Yet it continues to be used. Unbelievable!

Healthy Pizza Tips

The pizza has been voted America's favorite food for countless years, and is consumed by most Americans each year. The pizza in its first generation as a food in Rome was a healthy tomato filled food that was not only great tasting, but actually good for your body. Fast forward a few thousand years and we've got the fat loaded kitchen sink style pizza. Everything from bacon, to cheddar cheese top pizzas around the world every day. To make matters worse delivery chains have started to use inexpensive processed food products to help make the pizza as cheaply as humanly possible. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. That pizza the chain company delivers to your door with a smile, could land you in the doctor's office with a frown in no time.

The first step in eating a healthy pizza is making it yourself. There are any number of restaurants that will boast healthy pizzas on their menus, but to be sure it truly is a healthy pizza, it's better to play it safe and make it yourself. There are some places that will truly make a healthy pizza, but in order to understand what is most healthy for you to eat it's easier to cook it.

Breakfast Pizza

Once you've come to the realization that you will be cooking this culinary masterpiece, it's time to decide on ingredients. The healthiest pizzas include fresh tomatoes, garlic, and small amounts of fresh mozzarella cheese. The pizza can be topped with spinach, broccoli, or any number of fresh vegetables.

Bake the pizza for 20 minutes at 400 degrees, and dab off the grease from the cheese as it starts to settle on top of your pizza. After you have finished cooking the pizza, let it cool, and enjoy. The pizza should taste better then ever knowing that it's one full of healthy ingredients.

Why Eat Breakfast?

Why do they keep recommending that you eat a healthy breakfast? This has been discussed for ages and people seem to still skip breakfast.

Probably the most common excuse is time. "There is just so much to do in the morning that taking that time is just impossible." Maybe you could just force yourself out of bed just 10 minutes earlier. The benefits are usually overwhelming.

What do you stand to gain from this devotion of time?

1. Save you from those cravings later in the morning when you till be tempted to grab a high-calorie, non-nutritious snack.

2. Your metabolism will get a kick start.

3. Increase your energy and stamina.

It is the middle of the morning and your stomach starts to tell you how empty it is. You are hard at work and there is certainly not time for anything more than a quick snack at your desk. Maybe, if you are lucky, that could be something reasonably healthy -- a piece of fresh fruit or a protein snack bar.

Usually that snack will be a quick trip to the vending machine for a candy bar or chips. This stops the cravings for the moment but does little else. Eating breakfast will prevent that mid-orning crash.

Breakfast has that particular name because it is "breaking" the "fasting" of the night. While you are asleep your body goes in to a calorie conservation period because you are not providing additional fuel to your body. This is done because you are in a period of fasting. When you eat a healthy breakfast, you end this conservation period and your metabolism returns to it normal levels. This increased metabolism rate accounts for an increased energy level.

Actually, if you are dieting and worrying about the calories, skipping breakfast actually as a negative effect. By not allowing your body to return to its normal metabolism rate, your body is not working efficiently and therefore is not loosing weight. This is caused for a loss of a protein called "leptin".

Now you finally understand the why, what should your healthy breakfast include. Concentrate on complex carbs, lean proteins and healthy fast. Whole wheat bread, cereals, white meats, eggs, low-fat dairy products, vegetables and fruits are excellent choices.

Soon you will be grateful for waking up that little bit earlier. At the end of the day you will have much more energy as well as you will be fitter and healthier -- a process that will improve daily.

Depression & Breakfast - Is Cereal For Breakfast Keeping You Depressed?

Not so long ago, on advice from a naturopath, I tried a low GI muesli with almond milk for breakfast. Supposedly healthy right? For the next few hours I felt like I was fighting to stop from drowning. My emotions dived to their darkest depths they had in many years. Had I not been aware of what I was normally like in the morning (when not having cereal for breakfast) I would have been ready to crawl into bed to hide for days, or worse... Thankfully the feeling passed by midday and I was back to my normal self.

When I have cereal for breakfast it makes me depressed. How come the Doctor doesn't know to tell me that? I haven't had cereal for breakfast for over 6 years. Not porridge, not low GI muesli, not flakes, biscuits or bubbles. Only 3 generations ago there was no such thing as a breakfast cereal but now most people can't imagine what you would have for breakfast if you couldn't have something in a bowl with a white liquid on it.

Breakfast Pizza

I am not suggesting that everyone skips cereal for breakfast (although I could probably justify it). The important thing is to find out what works for you. Some people do better starting the day with protein, some with carbohydrates. Try something different for a few days and see if your depression lifts.

You may notice the difference immediately and never want to go back. Make a note to check in with yourself through out the morning. Make an appointment in your calendar or set the alarm on your watch to remind you to see how your doing. Also, ask people who you spend time with in the morning to notice if you seem different as well.

So what can you eat instead of cereal for breakfast? Many cultures around the world do not have cereal for breakfast. Instead they have something to eat that would eat at any other time of the day. For example, left overs from the night before, baked beans, steamed broccoli, tuna salad, tofu and leafy greens, even an omelette that includes vegetables. And no, two pieces of raison toast or a blueberry muffin are not good substitutes. We're aiming for good protein sources.

What about asking friends for ideas? Do you know anyone from non-western backgrounds? If so, ask them what they have for breakfast - many cultures around the world don't have breakfast out of a box so there must be answers out there.

But what about the time it takes to prepare something other than cereal for breakfast? For the 9-5 lifestyle, being able to throw something in a bowl put white liquid on it and then bolt out the door saves time in the mornings. My question is: How important is your health to you? Ok I'll stop preaching from on high. Time is a consideration in the mornings and I imagine that having to come up for something for children as well only adds to the pressure. What about a large pan of scrambled eggs, a saucepan of beans, or a large salad with left over sausages?

What about the additional cost? Cereal is cheap but you get what you pay for. Are you currently paying for depression medication? If you can reduce or eliminate your medication by changing what you eat for breakfast then you will have freed up some money to buy quality food instead.

If you have a protein breakfast, what about calcium from milk? So, the dairy industry has you convinced that you can't get enough calcium from other sources, eh? If you want to try the experiment of not having cereal for breakfast for a few days, have it for you last meal of the day instead. I know it might feel like your back in college and have nothing else to eat but if you do well with higher protein in the mornings you will probably also do well with higher carbs at night. Try it and see - the kids will love the novelty.

Remember, its about finding out what works for you. We all have different metabolic types that require different ratios of proteins and carbohydrates at different times of the day. By varying our diet and noticing the difference in how we feel we can work out what is just right for each of us.

Healthy Breakfast Tips

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and in order to lose weight, you should never miss breakfast. But, of course, not every breakfast is good for your health and figure. Here are some healthy breakfast ideas that will help you keep hunger off till lunch time, give you a boost of energy for the entire day and will contribute to your health.

The best way to start your day may be a bowl of whole grain cereal with low-fat milk. Fast, simple and healthy. When shopping, look for cereal that is high in fiber - at least 5 grams per serving. Prefer cereals with minimal sugar: corn flakes instead of frosted flakes, regular Cheerios instead of sweetened versions. Ideally, buy unsweetened cereals, and if you need, add sugar yourself, as much as you need. You will certainly add less sugar than manufacturers put into their sweetened versions. Another fast morning meal - eggs. Prefer poached eggs to fried ones, if you want to cut calories - eat egg whites only. They make an excellent breakfast that will hold you full and energetic till lunch. If you like omelets, make a vegetarian omelet with skim milk, cook it on a griddle that doesn't need oil. Oatmeal is a perfect breakfast - nourishing, rich in fiber. Add some milk and sugar if you like, or try to add salt and eat it with a slice of low-fat cheese. Drink a glass of juice instead of coffee. Juice will wake you up and give you energy for your work day just like coffee, but it's much healthier. Eat a fruit, or make a fruit salad for breakfast. Just chop your favorite fruit and add some unflavored yogurt. A morning portion of vitamins and good mood is guaranteed.

Start Each Day With a Healthy Breakfast Smoothie!

Most people's breakfasts ARE totally NOT healthy - and this will seriously reduce your body's ability to burn fat!

With today's hectic lifestyles, chances are we rush around in the morning, grab something quick - piece of toast, banana and a cuppa... kids munching on sugar or choco coated cereals - sound familiar?

Breakfast Pizza

We forget that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

In fact, the recommendation by nutritionists is that breakfast should make up at least 25% of your daily calories.

Eat breakfast like a King, lunch like a Queen and dinner like a beggar!!! This way, you front load your calories at the top end of the day, which makes sense because more calories are burned throughout the day than in the evening, all other things being equal.

Studies have also shown that people who habitually don't have breakfast tend to have higher levels of cholesterol and so have a much higher risk of developing heart disease.

All the nutrition you get from a healthy breakfast really sets you up for the day. Not only is your energy high and your digestion improved, it's been shown that people who eat breakfast tend to suffer less from illnesses, particularly the common colds and coughs.

Well, I totally advise everyone who wants to optimise their health and start controlling their weight to start the day off right with a modern, highly balanced nutrition smoothie for breakfast - even if it's to supplement that piece of toast or bowl of cardboard - erm, sorry cereal.

Nutrition smoothies are super quick to make - you can even make up a job lot the night before if it's for all the family - packed with high quality balanced nutrients, like protein, vitamins and mineral all in one easy and delicious mix - you just add milk, soya or fruit juice or any combination and shake or blend... each one works out very economical. You can mix it in a container or with a hand whisk or use a blender to add any soft or frozen fruits you want to.

Of course you need to pick a high quality brand of nutrition mix and you'll feel the energy it gives you - you'll know your body's been missing out on its core nutrition after just a day or so.

This way you can really focus on the challenges of the day, not on what you are eating or not eating! For weight loss, it's just as simple - just swap two nutrition smoothies for two of your daily meals, including breakfast.

Low Cholesterol Pizza Recipes? You're Kidding!

That is the reaction for most people. But as soon as you try these simple low cholesterol pizza recipes, you'll know it's true.

Personally I love pizza. I can't live without the smell of freshly baked, cheesy tasting pizza with bunch of veggies or other stuff.

Every time I watch movie at home, I have to bake a pizza. Otherwise I do not enjoy myself watching the movie. Which is about once a week.

I think that having pizza once a week is not a bad thing. If you do not overeat of course. And if you know how to cook low fat low cholesterol pizza, you have nothing to be ashamed for.

Ok, let's stop talking, put on some chefs uniform and presto; you have just become healthy pizza chef.

Healthy Pizza Recipe Preparation:

When trying to prepare healthy pizza, start with a fat-free pizza dough or crust. I love to prepare pizza out of pita bread. For all pizza, use substitution like fat-free cheese, fat free tomato sauce, crushed red pepper or garlic (which has cholesterol lowering properties).

Just be creative. Follow the samples of low cholesterol pizza recipes below and let your imagination create something great.

Here are samples of my favorite pizza recipes

Breakfast Pizza

You can just scramble some egg whites and put it on the top of your pitta bread or fat-free pizza crust. If you can find whole-wheat one, you are better off.

Top it with:

-smoked turkey "bacon"

-grated fat-free cheddar cheese

-diced green onions

Bake or broil your pizza until cheese melts. Cool down for a 5 minutes and enjoy.

Vegetable Pizza

Start with a whole-wheat crust. Top it with these:

-fat free mozzarella cheese, shredded

-sliced mushrooms

-diced red and greed peppers

-diced onions

Again bake it as an example above. Until cheese is melted.

Hummus Pizza

On top of your crust spread fat free hummus and top with:

-diced tomatoes

-chopped parsley

-ground cumin

Bake or broil until heated through. About 10 minutes on 350 degrees F.

Like I said before, experiment with these samples and you can create your own low cholesterol low fat pizza.

Hope you will get a lot of good ideas on how to make great tasting, yet healthier pizza.

And remember, you can use pita bread, all vegetables on your pizza. You can also cut skinless chicken breasts on stripes, grill it using something like George Freeman Grill and add that on top of your pizza.

Use your imagination!

Pizza and Pasta

Pizza and pasta are especially popular and traditional, the Pizza Margherita having been born in Naples. Pizza in particular is amongst the most popular dishes to surface out of Italy. Italian food is now as much a part of British cuisine as curry.

Italy

Breakfast Pizza

Italy is a country with an unparalleled variety of dishes, ingredients, styles and techniques. Italy, a country half the size of Texas, is composed of 20 regions, each with its own distinctly marvelous food. Although Italian cuisine varies greatly all over Italy, there is one thing you can be sure of, and that is enjoying your Italian food.

Pizza

The most traditional Italian dishes as we know today, are on the whole derived from simple peasant cookery. For example the Pizza, could be found a couple of centuries ago on the streets of Naples being sold by street vendors to those that had no cooking facilities of their own at home. Pizza is quick and easy to prepare, with inexpensive ingredients and is an impulse purchase, largely unaffected by seasons or fashions. Pizzas such as Hawaiian and sloppy Giuseppe appeal to American markets and are also enjoyed around the world. Pizza is normally eaten hot (typically at lunch or dinner), but is sometimes eaten as cold leftovers for breakfast. You'll find a plethora of books dedicated to pizza and pasta, traditional family cuisine or even vegetarian food. Pizza is also found as a frozen food in grocery stores and supermarkets. Is it any wonder pizza challenges hamburgers as the preferred fast-food.

Italian food is "the food we love most" according to Gray and Rogers, and they share this love through a selection of mouthwatering recipes from a simple spring dish such as spaghetti with lemon, through to summer specials like crab bruschetta, rich autumn feasts of roast pheasant with quince and sage, and the winter piece de resistance of almond, orange, lemon and whiskey cake. To learn about Italian food is to understand Italian people - their respect for food and the role that it has played in their history.

The Incredible Hulk Hearty Breakfast Buffet for Lunch Party!

You'll find that this Incredible Hulk party theme is one with a lot of energy. It's best to keep the kids from jumping around on the couches and pretending to be the Incredible Hulk by creating a tasty and distracting party menu. It's not hard to come up with some good party food. You can go for something spicy like Mexican dishes or you can opt for a hearty Breakfast Buffet during Lunch!

The Incredible Hulk is a character with a lot of pent up frustrations! These menu suggestions will turn you're young guests green with envy not anger. Linker sausages and omelets to order served with traditional grits and fruit cups will be anything but ordinary. It's a simple matter of following package directions to make perfect linkers and grits. Then transfer these foods to a warmer for a hot and tasty food buffet.

For perfect omelets at your Incredible Hulk party remember to use water not milk to whip with the eggs. This makes a fluffier egg mixture. Use hot grease and pan (preferably an omelet pan) and add toppings chopped in a toppings bar. Allow children to choose their own toppings but keep them a safe distance from the food preparation area. If omelets seem too labor intensive try substituting prebaked quiche. A few different choices like quiche Lorraine or broccoli and cheddar should be a simple but special meal for certain.

When everyone is full from their Incredible Hulk Breakfast Buffet they are ready for some down time. Put on the Incredible Hulk Movies from contemporary times and years past. Afterwards you can start up some activities and games to work off the calories and excess energy in the kids at your party, and the adults too! Keep plenty of paper goods on hand so people can get seconds and third helpings at your party.

Breakfast Pizza

Ordering Pizza Online Just Became More Exciting!

Pizza is probably the food that is ordered online the most. Seriously, is there anyone out there who has never ordered pizza online? In a place like London, where people eat out almost one-fourth the time, ordering pizza over the Internet is almost like a modern food tradition.

People are busy, want something quick to eat with no preparation; they go ahead and order pizza. And now with many sites having including so many different options to order pizza over the Internet, things have certainly become a lot more interesting!

What a site can do is to tie up with various pizza parlours in the South London and East London area. People who are living within the postcodes of E1 and E8 in East London or postcodes SE1, SE8, SE13, SE16 or SE17 in South London will probably know places like Times Pizza, Pizza Classico, Pizza Mania and others which they must even have ordered from already. Many websites out there offer their own sites for ordering pizza online.

So, how does this collaboration make things interesting? Get a ID by registering on a website and then you will see.

An ID will first of all will give you the restaurant number and restaurant address of these and many other pizza parlours within the East London and South London areas. Once you have these numbers, you could contact them for your orders or you could even order online directly through the website. Mention that you are a member of a proper website for online food ordering and you could get interesting deals on your pizza meal, depending on the restaurant that you are ordering from.

You can check out the entire menu of these different pizza parlours over a website. You can compare their menus, their prices and decide where you want to order from. These are some eclectic pizza recipes, some of which you won't even get if you visited the parlour. In fact, a few of them can come from a recipe directory where people can submit their own favourite pizza recipes and then the parlours create the finest of them. Chances are that every time you look at the menus of these pizza parlours online you are going to see something different. Booking a table reservation is no big deal either; just get the restaurant number from the parlour website and make your call.

It has all become so simple now with many online food sites adding pizzas specially to their services. There are many of them to choose and order, even some exotic varieties in fusion pizzas that are made with a mix of different kinds of cuisines. Yes, pizzas do not need to be just Italian anymore!
