Small steps

It's difficult there's no doubt about it, you will need to break old
habits and put some effort in. There are rewards though so it's well
worth the effort.
You need a two pronged attack; Diet and exercise.
Exercise
You don't need to outlay lots of money; in fact buying fitness equipment
will no doubt be a waste of money. Some of the psychology behind buying
exercise equipment is that we are putting off/delaying the hard work of
actually doing some exercise. The trick is to go out of your front door
and start. Either go for a walk, a great way to start increasing your
exercise, or go to an organised exercise class. If you can run a little,
great do that, just simply get moving.
Diet
Think of this as an opportunity to try some exciting new foods, have a
flick through a recipe book or a magazine: try making a home made soup
to begin. You will soon start to benefit from eating less stodgy food.
Try porridge for breakfast, you can always add berries or cinnamon to
add taste if you don't like it plain. Cut out all take- a- ways (maybe
allow one a month for a treat) but make the desired food yourself. Thai
is easy to cook and very lean naturally, Indian food is fun and a great
family event and Italian can be made leaner by choosing the dishes
carefully. You can always make a healthy pizza using a tortilla base,
tomato sauce with garlic spread on top and then your choice of topping
(i.e. ham, mushrooms, peppers, pineapple if your one of those that like
to put fruit on a pizza) and don't be heavy handed with the mozzarella.
I shall be posting regularly with my tips for dieting and exercise,
which I have picked up from 22 years of watching my weight.  Mostly I
have been successful in my quest although there have been a few times I
have failed and become over weight, but I think this adds to the
expertise. As I have such an interest in weight loss and exercise I have
set up my own bootcamp (employing experts in their fields to run the
sessions which include NLP, nutritional workshops, and exercise session
with ex military and non military staff so as to give as much variety as
possible.

Justine is interested in fitness and diet and helping others achieve the figures they dream of.
