Vieja Lira Trattoria & Pizzeria - Oaxaca cafeteria review

Thankfully the recent expansion from 24 to 40 seats hasn't detracted from the intimacy and quaintness of this downtown Italian restaurant and pizzeria. It still has classy yet welcoming décor of deep cranberry and white walls, easy pine tables and cushioned chairs stained dark to heighten a bistro-like feeling, and not to be overshadowed, floor-length draperies well-matched to the magenta / wine tones. The soft sound of jazz heard from the street is alone sufficient to make you want to take a peak in, and then you're hooked.

You're warmly welcomed by Italian owner Simone, who is approximately all the time on hand. His proximity remains, yet more in the nature of consultant, ready to make suggestions, innately knowing when his attention is needed, and when not. He advises regarding selections from the printed menu, or large blackboard. We've never been disappointed with his wine recommendations, each having been thought about chosen by Simone so as to ensure suitable pairing of food with wine, as well as affordability for middle-of-the-road patrons.

Breakfast Pizza

The original culinary intuit for visiting Vieja Lira is its pizzas. However, the fish, seafood, pastas and zuppas run a very close second. And even if the temptation to order a original plato fuerte is too great to resist, and you're inclined to pass on the pizza, recommend to others in your party that pizza as one of the appetizers might satisfy the curiosity if not inexpressive yearning of all.

Drinks arrive approximately as effortlessly as the crusty, soft yet dense bread, hand-cut to be drizzled with the herb infused olive oil or possibly some paste-like salsa de chile de arbol.

The pizza is one compassionate size, with crust as thin as I've ever chomped, undoubtedly worthy of winning an award. It borders on the thickness of a tortilla or possibly tlayuda. For this cena our eight-slicer had cheese, tomato and the usual herbs and spices, each quarter with a salutary topping of one of artichoke, black olive, mushroom and pepperoni. While it was the first appetizer to arrive, and we knew there were more entradas to follow, the four diners in our party were drawn to devour it all, without even a single, obligatory "no, you take the last piece."

Our appetizers were rounded out with a bowl of ten or so medium-sized garlic shrimp, skewered, and an order of bruschetta of chicken liver paté, dare I say good sufficient to remind me of my grandmothers' formula from The Old Country. Watch out asiento, schmaltz is making inroads into Oaxaca.

My wife's seafood bouillabaisse consisted of a medley of seafood and fish, juices appropriately spiced with a blend of fresh local herbs together with your suitable Italian selections, served in an oversized bowl. I prolonged with the crustacean theme, indulging in a hefty serving of fettuccini with seafood together with squid, octopus, shrimp, scallop and local langostina in their shell. One of our guests ordered seared tuna over a bed of mixed exotic greens. She'd requested "rare, much less than medium," I piped in "almost still swimming," yet the plate arrived disappointingly overcooked, bordering on well. Without examine or consulation the dish was removed, and in short order an additional one serving, properly grilled, arrived with suitable apology. The final entrée was one of the daily specials, rabbit with option of penne or linguini, in a tangy tomato sauce.

Two bottles of Italian merlot having been retired, the restaurant by now approximately empty, we were nevertheless still inclined to continue with just a bit more catching up with good friends. A merge of brandies and herbal teas, a tiramisu, and a coconut ice cream served in its half shell, most agreeably put the finishing touches on an evening of broad contentment.

Nutrisystem Diet Pros and Cons

I'm asked a lot about the pluses and minuses / pros and cons of the nutrisystem diet since I often write about this weight loss plan and how it works. In this article, I'll try to provide a balanced, unbiased review of what I think are the great and not so great things about the nutrisystem diet.

Pros: I do believe that the pros far outweigh the cons with this plan, so I will list them first.

1. It Is Very Effective. I've come to believe that if you follow and stick with the diet as planned you can not help but lose weight. I spend a lot of time in weight loss forums and find that the few folks who aren't having success are just not sticking with it or are cheating. But, I haven't found anyone who has stuck with it faithfully that didn't get results.

Nutrisystem is really a low carb diet (although you certainly don't have to eat meat all of the time.) It's low in calories and high in protein as well. This works to put your body in metabolic state where it is fooled into burning its own fat. I find that this is effective for most people.

And, results come pretty quickly which helps to motivate you to stick with it.

2. Lots Of Good Tasting Choices: Nutrisystem has over 130 food choices available and many of them are comfort foods like macaroni and cheese, fajitas, pizza, and tacos. There are also lots of desserts and snacks available. And, you never have to count points, worry about keeping track of carbs, or count calories here. All of the foods are glycemic friendly and safe. Jillian Barberie wasn't kidding when she said that she got to eat pizza and chocolate on this diet. Ok, so the pizza doesn't exactly taste like Chicago deep dish, but it's not half bad. I find that the taste and variety of this food puts it head and shoulders above many of the other diets I've tried and I'm very picky.

Convenience: Many of the foods in this diet are prepackaged and require very little preparation. Some are literally grab and go. You are asked to add veggies and proteins to your Nutrisystem meals (salad, yogurt, etc.), and you are asked to eat five times per day, but the meals are small and there isn't much prep time associated with them. It's also nice that you never have to count or tally anything. You just eat five of the plans meals per day and know that you are safe.

Cons: Now, onto what might be considered cons by some.

1. It Takes Some Getting Used To At First: Over time, I've grown to really enjoy having my meals mostly provided for me, but this was not always the case. Eating five times per day can really take some getting used to. I used to skip breakfast and eat a snack type lunch. I can't do that on Nutriystem because I have to eat regularly to keep my metabolism strong. And, if you're someone who loves to plan, cook and eat elaborate meals, you may find having your own food provided difficult. (Sure, you can get elaborate with your sides, but if you're a "foodie," this might frustrate you until you get used to it.)

2. Having To Add The Sides With Every Meal And Eating So Often: I know that I have gotten spoiled over time and I understand that I need a regular supply of fresh healthful foods to be as healthy as I possible can. But, once I got used to eating the pre provided meals, then I did not want to take the time to add the sides. I've learned that the best thing for me to do is make good use of bagged salads, frozen stir-fry, and prepackaged yogurts. I also now assemble what I can ahead of time, but it took me a while to get the hang of this.

Eating five times per day was a challenge at first, but I've learned that this is necessary to keep the metabolism revved and fully functional. Luckily, the meals are small and most are grab and go, so this helps.

3 Cost: With the price of gas and groceries so high, the cost of this plan doesn't seem altogether that bad now, but it certainly isn't free. The average price of a month's worth of Nutrisystem is about $290. This works out to be about $10 per day, which certainly isn't bad.

I was worried about the cost, but it just hadn't been an issue as being on this diet has greatly cut down the amount of money I was spending on eating out and splurging on treats. My grocery bill has come way down as well, since most of my food is provided.

Still, I understand that some people will be skeptical at having to buy food outside of their family's groceries, but I'd argue that every time you buy your lunch at work, you're doing just that anyway.

The website Nutrisystem Celebrity Review offers in depth information about the diet, how to be successful on it, a comparision to other diet programs, the latest Nutrisystem coupons (including three weeks free,) a free ebook, and a current list of all of the foods. The Best Pizza & Italian in Palmdale

There are few things great than some appetizing Italian food; there are maybe a handful of habitancy on the entire planet who don't like pizza. It's delicious, and there's more to great Italian food and superb pizza than franchise restaurants, and chain shops. A real Italian restaurant, or pizzeria might seem like a rarity. But that's all right, we've done the investigate for you! Check out these appetizing choices below. If you love Palmdale hotels, then you'll love the Italian too!

Shakey's Pizza bistro - Shakey's Pizza isn't exactly a quaint itsybitsy Italian pizzeria; it's positively kind of a chain bistro set-up; not quite with the popularity of Papa John's, Pizza Hut, or any of the other major competition. Shakey's is positively a primarily California based chain, that is branching out soon, in a few other states, generally major cities, such as Las Vegas, and Spokane. Shakey's comes highly recommended by reviewers in the area, and is placed at 39450 10th road West #A, in Palmdale.

Breakfast Pizza

Me-N-Ed's Pizzeria - After finding at the online menu for Me-N-Ed's pizzeria, at meneds.com, I have never in my life been so unfortunate not to be a Ca resident. This chain of restaurants has many locations, all over California, along with of course, their Palmdale spot; 39202 Tenth St. West #C. The reviews this place has received are more than exemplary, and it seems like habitancy cannot say enough about the restaurant! If you're on vacation, you have to stop by! If you love the food as much as everyone else, don't forget to reveal it online.

Vince's Pasta & Pizza - This itsybitsy spot isn't just for pizza; they also serve abundance of pasta, and classic Italian dishes. But don't expect anything fancy; it's primarily a casual spot for habitancy feeding groups. The younger, hip crowd might not appreciate the low prices, and the lack of "style", as one reviewer claims, however, most other reviews have nothing to offer other than praise for its great food and value. They also often have specials, and discounted menu options, --according to one reviewer, the best time to order is when you have a house full of habitancy and need to feed everyone without going broke.

Eduardo's Italian bistro - Eduardo's has received exquisite reviews from both local bistro patrons, and from those visiting the area. Eduardo's is placed in a small strip mall, at 819 W Palmdale Blvd in Palmdale; it's tucked into a small spot, but the inner climate certainly makes it seem larger. They offer a larger banquet room for hidden groups, or enterprise events. They also offer an comprehensive menu, so while the clothes might be casual the food is as formal as can be. Eduardo's is the exquisite place to go if you want real Italian food, in relaxing surroundings.

Tips for Saving Money on Food At Walt Disney World-Orlando

Food at Walt Disney World can be outrageously expensive and, in some cases, of poor quality. It can make a very large dent in your vacation budget if you don't plan ahead.

Picnics are not really the solution. You are not allowed to bring your own food into the theme parks.(the exception being the two water parks where you can and should take a picnic with you) People do seem take food into the parks, and I have never seen anyone challenged. I guess the watchword here is "be discrete"If you arrive at the gates with a large cooler and
picnic hamper you are inviting the Disney people to take action.

1. Get a good breakfast "Off -World"

Fantastic breakfast deals abound on Hwy 192. Deny's and International house of Pancakes have a number of locations serving really good breakfasts. Some smaller restaurants and big chains like Sizzlers serve a breakfast buffet where you can really stuff yourself for a few dollars. My personal favorite is Cracker Barrel who dish up traditional Southern cooking. A good breakfast will set you up for a hard day at the parks and prevent mid morning hunger pangs.
(However it might not be a good idea to ride "Tower of Terror" or "Mission Space" with a full stomach!)

2. Avoid Killer Snacks

Snacks at Disney World can make a big hole in your wallet. You could buy a full meal "off world" for the price of a Disney coffee and cake. Try to carry a drink. The parks sell a nifty shoulder strap to hold a small bottle. After your first expensive purchase you can replace the bottle with cheaper sodas from a supermarket. In really hot weather you will appreciate a drink at regular intervals. Water is probably best. Try to find some kind of waist strap to hold
a bottle which you can replenish at the water fountains as you come across them. (Totes do a good one)

3. Avoid fast food.

The best way to avoid expensive, inferior fast food is to arrange in advance where and when you will eat Trouble comes when you are too tired or thirsty to care, - the result will be a very inferior hot dog or slice of pizza at top dollar prices. A proper sit down restaurant, carefully chosen, will represent much better value for money and you will have a nice rest in the process.

4. Eat Your Main Meal at Lunchtime.

Many restaurants have similar dinner and lunch menus but the lunch time one will be quite a lot cheaper. My family enjoyed a new meal called Linner. As brunch is to breakfast and lunch, linner is to Lunch and Dinner. Basically we ate from the lunch menu as late as possible. We missed the lunch time crowds but ate before the more expensive dinner menu kicked in (usually around 3pm) If you have a really good breakfast it will be easy enough to hold out until 3.00pm We would often buy something to munch as we sat and waited for Parades, Fantasmic etc.

5. Use the Monorail

Use the monorail to go to a resort hotel at lunch or dinner time. They are often much less crowded and cheaper than the theme park restaurants. Get a hand stamp and you can return to the theme park later.

6. Treat Yourself to a full Service restaurants at EPCOT

Many people consider the restaurants in The World Showcase to be an important part of the EPCOT experience and you will definitely want to try one of them. The trick here is to choose carefully because they can be expensive, make sure it is the right choice for your family. (Not much point in shelling out for Japanese if junior will only ear burgers)

Tips to Gain Weight - Eating 5-6 Meals a Day

If you are seeing to gain weight you need to start eating more. Period. You can't expect to gain too much weight if you are sticking to the 3 meals a day routine. Try eating heartier meals 5 or 6 times a day and you'll start to see some real results. Those that want to lose weight are told to eat this many times per day, but with much smaller portions. When you are trying to gain weight you will want to eat until you feel full many times per day. Here's how a typical day would go for you when trying to lose weight.

Breakfast - You'll want to get an early start and get the fat advent in. Grab the primary bowl of cereal, but top it off with a 3 egg omelet, bacon, and hash browns. The protein from the bacon and the eggs will help with your muscle growth, the fiber from the cereal will help all get absorbed into the body, and the carbohydrates from the potatoes and cereal will help you with your weight gain goal. Top it all off with a large glass of orange juice for a good dose of sugar calories.

Breakfast Pizza

Breakfast 2 - Once you start to feel a minute hungry again, top off your first morning meal by eating all you didn't eat earlier. A bagel and cream cheese would be good. You could also substitute that with toast and peanut butter. The fat from the peanut butter and cream cheese is what your body needs to help all metabolize better. You don't have to eat a ton at this meal, just be sure to hold you over until lunch time, and curb any feelings of hunger for the next hour or two.

Lunch - This is a great time to fit in all the things you've been craving. Any high calorie, high carbohydrate food will work. Pizza might be the number one weight gaining instrument. It's got tons of carbohydrates in the crust, as well as lots of heavy fat in the cheese. To keep costs down, you can visit a pizza buffet, there are many of them in your local area that will be less than ten dollars. If you do go with the pizza buffet, be sure to have a big salad with it to help keep things tantalizing straight through your system. Pass on the regular lettuce and pile on the Romaine. Remember, even though you're at a buffet, you should not stuff yourself. Just eat until you feel full.

Lunch 2 - Once you start advent down from the first lunch it's time to eat again. If you have anyone you couldn't halt at lunch now is the time to eat it. You aren't seeing to stuff yourself, just make sure you can get straight through until dinner time. This is a great time to have a weight gaining shake.

Dinner - Red meat is your key here. Have a steak and a baked potato. Pile on the veggies too like broccoli, peas, and green peppers. By incorporating those three things with your meal, you'll get a good number of fats, carbs and proteins. Just be sure to have good sized portions that leave you full but not stuffed.

Bedtime Snack - This is when you should have an additional one weight gainer shake as you don't want to eat any solid foods before bed.

A Weekly Nutrisystem Menu Sample - 7 Examples of Breakfast, Lunch, and supper Meals

I get a lot of emails from habitancy who are request for me to paint them a picture of what life on nutrisystem is like. I've written about a typical day on this diet. I've had a few habitancy tell me that this isn't a big sufficient see of the meals to give them a full idea of what they will be eating. So, in the following article, I'm going to expand on this idea and provide an example of a week's worth of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks and desserts. I will also give you examples of the sides that you are asked to add onto each meal.

An Example Of A Week's Worth Of Nutrisystem Breakfasts: I often say that I think that the breakfasts, snacks, and desserts are my favorite part of this diets. Even though this is a lower carb diet, you are still allowed cereals, muffins, pancakes, and scones. For this example, I've tried to mix things up a bit so that there's a lot of variety. Here are seven typical breakfasts that I chose and the sides which would work well with them. They are: the banana nut muffin with milk; the egg frittata with cantaloupe; the blueberry pancakes with yogurt; the apple cinnamon oatmeal with apple slices; the apple strudel scone with bungalow cheese; the heap crunch cereal with skim milk; and the cinnamon roll with yogurt.

Breakfast Pizza

Now, this is only seven choices. There are more. But this does give you a good sampling of the types of products that you will eat. There are separate flavors within each category. There are separate flavors of oatmeal, cereals, scones, and muffins. What I've given are examples that I enjoy.

7 Days Worth Of Nutrisystem Lunches: habitancy often expect to see a lot of soups here. And, there are some. But there are also pastas, hot dogs, bars, salads, and rice dishes. The examples that I've chosen are: the cheese tortellini and a small salad; the hot dog and celery sticks; the chicken and pasta in cacciatore sauce with carrot sticks; the chicken caesar salad with blueberries; the red beans and rice with red peppers; the minestrone soup with salad; the fettucine alfredo and cucumber slices; and finally, the chicken and noodles with watermelon.

A Weekly Sample Menu Of Nutrisystem Dinners: The dinners are a bit more stupendous and they do offer a lot of variety. I tend to like the relax food options, so if I were choosing for an entire week, I might chose: the Cajun chicken and sausage with fat and sugar free pudding; the lasagne and meat sauce with a salad; the pizza and strawberries; the beef steak with potatoes and cantaloupe; the bar b que pork wrap with celery sticks and fat free dressing; the macaroni cheese and beef with sliced tomatoes; and the mushroom risotto with sliced red peppers.

7 Tasty Snacks: You certainly can't go wrong with any of the snacks. But, here are seven of my favorites: the nachos; the pretzels; the herb snack mix; the cheese puffs; the bar b que chips; the coconut almond bar; and the chocolate rainbow desserts.

A Week's Worth Of Desserts: This isn't going to be very original, but the desserts are my favorite. I certainly can't think of one that I wouldn't eat, and I pretty much like them all. If I could only chose 7, I'd pick: the almond biscotti; the chocolate cake; the peppermint cookie patty; the nutrichocolates; the golden pound cake: the blueberry lemon sweetmeat bar; and the mint chocolate crunch bar.

All of the meals are meant to be interchangeable. And, nutrisystem does allow for you to buy foods individually, by the week, and by the month. The monthly packages regularly work out to be cheaper because you're buying in bulk and because they allow for you to use the most kind coupons with the monthly packages.

problem of Obesity in Australia

Presently there is none of the region / country which is not yet hit by evil of obesity. Whether it is a advanced or developing nation, all faces coarse health hazard which is termed as 'Obesity'. Obesity which in usual terms means over weight is not only the overweight problem, buts its consequences are severe. Obesity in curative terms relates to unwanted or excess fat in our body (in the form of adipose tissue). The main question which lies behind its heavy comprehensive in advanced nations (mainly Australia) is lack of ignorance among the coarse mass.

Obese people are extremely prone to - Heart diseases, stroke or brain attack, diabetes, cancer of the gall bladder, Osteoarthritis (wearing away of joints), Gout, breathing problem, high cholesterol, high blood pressure etc.

Breakfast Pizza

Recent studies from curative Journal of Australia 174:561-4 shows that 47% of women and 63% of men are overweight or obese in Australia, where seven million adult Australians aged 25 years and over (60%) were overweight. Of these, over two million (21%) were found obese agreeing to the 1999-2000 Australian Diabetes, Obesity and Lifestyle Study.

It is found that Males were more likely to be overweight as compared to females, with 67% and 52% respectively.

There have been essential increases in the proportions of overweight and obese Australians over the last 20 years. From 1980 to 1999-2000, for people aged 25-64 years, the proportion of overweight women increased from 27% to 47%, and the proportion of overweight men increased from 47% to 66%.

On average, women in 1999 weighed 4.8 kg more than their counterparts in 1980, and men 3.6 kg more.

So now the interrogate arises why the obesity is such a drastic threat in Australia. The think behind that are straightforward and explainable. The obesity is usually caused by inordinate intake of fat which is a coarse say but that's not always true, because once you go back in late 70's or 80's we find that we as a coarse layman are intaking fat via our food but the question of obesity was rare, but now-a-days entire life style of people has changed. Today when the day begins a child leave his/her breakfast (which consist of vitamins, proteins) and went to the school, in the interval he/she consumes the fast foods together with pizza's, burgers or soft drinks which are extremely calorific and mild toxic. Similar question is with the senior ones, the same question has been seen in various corporate's where employee work under 24X7 work environment in such a case there is no quarterly lunches or breakfast, also their busy agenda increases their intake of fast and junk food as these are easy to order and consume. We find this even in the households whenever we found that there is nothing to eat and its not the time to cook we Whether call for a pizza or prefer a burger and enjoy our meals, this is true if we explicate it with reference to time and also it is delicious. I am not discouraging the pizza parlours, ice creams or burgers, but what we can do is to limit their intake and encourage more vegetables, fruits in our daily diet.

But still most of the people consume the same assuming they will cut extra fat the next day but the day never comes. The general masses are totally unaware about this junk food and stimulates to obesity, overweight problem. As aforesaid the question is expanding day by day and if not taken seriously from both preventive and curing measures it could disrupt the major people in Australia.

Ultimately the clarification to the question is straightforward and explanatory. Wherever we live or wherever we work we must adapt ourselves to natural health food habits and avoid the junk food intake. And the people who are proned to obesity they must do physical exercises to get rid of it. But for extremely obese patients with the Bmi of over 35.00, obesity surgeries are recommended.

For more information linked to obesity just log on to: http://www.obesitysurgeries.com and think your Bmi (Body Mass Calculation) to seek help accordingly. You could even email me at kriplani@laparoscopy.in

Exploring London - 5 Out-of-the-Ordinary Things to Do

I have been to London, England, a few times now and every time I find something new to explore. The tourist guides and brochures mostly push the sights of London like Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Windsor Castle, and Hampton Court Palace. Especially whenever I was traveling on a budget, I found that even though these places were wonderful and should no doubt be visited, they were overrun with tourists and some of them required a pretty hefty entry fee.

Exploring on my own, I found some challenging places. Have a look at what I have discovered and I wish you happy traveling in London!

Breakfast Pizza

1. Take a Jack the Ripper Tour

If you are up for some spine-chilling entertainment, book a Jack the Ripper walking tour on the Internet before you visit London. There are a collection of fellowships that offer this type of tour and the prices were very comparable. I paid somewhere colse to Canadian Dollars, which seems to be standard. You can reserve your spot online and print out your marker at home. The tour commonly starts off at East Aldgate inexpressive station and then continues on the path of Jack the Ripper. You will be walking into the night, so make sure you bring adequate footwear and warm clothes, depending on the weather. You might also want to be prepared for rain and don't forget that camera. The tour guides are very knowledgeable about London history and the tour is challenging and informative. This is one way you will get to see a whole collection of London's back alleys, noisy pubs, and creepy side streets without getting lost in the dark.

2. Camden Town

Personally, I like buying the London Travelcard when I am in London. It is a great way to save some money if you will be using the social transport law a lot. You can pick which zones you want to consist of and off you go traveling as much as you like within your zones for the estimate of days you bought the card for. It's suitable and cheaper than buying particular tickets if you are in London for a few days.

At any rate, you can hop on the Northern line heading north and get off at Camden Town. If you exit the inexpressive station arrival out on Camden High Street, take a right toward the canal. You will find the whole road lined with itsybitsy shops and store stalls. If you continue down Camden High Street, you will finally cross the canal and then find more store stalls at Camden Lock store and the Stables. There are hundreds of itsybitsy shops and stalls everywhere, so just investment right in and have a look around. You are not obligated to buy anything, but you are sure to find anything you can think of there. It is a great way to spend some time if it is raining, as some of the store area is covered, or if you naturally want to range colse to and shop. There is food available at different places as well, so if you get hungry from all the wandering around, you have your selection of many different types of food.

3. Take a Subway Tour

Now this might sound a itsybitsy strange, but it is great fun. If your legs are tired from all the walking around, pick a line and let yourself be taken to some of the inexpressive stations. There are books available about the history of the London inexpressive stations and it is very neat to get out and witness the history of some of them. Buy a subway history book before heading to London and then witness the stations. Aldgate station (served by Metropolitan and Circle Lines) is very cool to look at and if you liked Atonement, you can also check out Balham station (on the Northern Line heading south). A friend of mine also let me know that there are tours and visits available for some of the abandoned stations in London, but unfortunately I do not have any more detailed facts about that yet.

4. Eat at Pizza Express

Not just any Pizza Express though. The one I like best is situated right beside Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. The presuppose you should go there is first of all that they have wonderful Italian food and second of all, it comes at a uncostly price. So if you would like to treat yourself to some appetizers, a great meal, and dessert, you can affordably do it at the Pizza Express. You can get there by taking the tube to Mansion House (Circle and District Lines) and then following the signs to the Millennium Bridge. Walk over the Millennium Foot Bridge and should be able to see the Globe already. Head toward the Globe, following along the Thames, and when you reach the Globe, Pizza Express will be in the building over the road from the Globe's main entrance. Pick a table upstairs and enjoy a meal overlooking the Thames.

5. Concert and evening meal at St. Martin-in-the Fields

This one is less for the cost than it is for the experience. St. Martin-in-the-Fields (although not in fields any longer) is a church in Trafalgar square and it's without fail worth a visit either you effect a distinct religious reliance or not. The church crypt has been converted into a café, where you can have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It offers an amazing, intimate climate and the food is great.

If you have time and like music, you can also take in one of the performances. The acoustics in the church are foreseen, and there are a wide range of concerts being offered. You can buy tickets online before you even travel to London if you like, to ensure you get a good seat. Make sure that if you have evening meal before a execution you come early because it fills up quickly.

To get there, take the tube to Charing Cross (Northern and Bakerloo Lines) and start heading for the National Gallery. You will find signs pointing you in the right direction. For detailed directions, you can also check their website.

Bvi sailing Vacation With Kids

There is always something extra about shared house time. A few years ago, my husband and I decided to take our niece (then 8) and nephew (then 10) on a seven day pilotage vacation to the British Virgin Islands. Living in Florida, we wanted to supply them with an feel other than Disney. Although I was excited to share a pilotage vacation feel with them, I had three main concerns.

First, would they be bored without their television, GameBoys and Playstations? Second, would the general sibling spats escalate being in a relatively confined space 24/7? And finally, how would they cope different foods when they primarily subsisted on pizza and buttered noodles? I did not need to worry.

Breakfast Pizza

Melody at ViSailing made the arrangements through the Moorings to hire a 47' Catamaran for our pilotage vacation. The squeals of pleasure from Tori and Kacey when we met them at the Redhook, St. Thomas ferry dock, with our dingy, were fast surpassed by the exclamation, "Sweet!" as we pulled up alongside the anchored Cat. This was the first time they had ever been on a catamaran. After a quick tour of the boat and a head lesson, we all retired early so that we could begin our Bvi pilotage vacation first thing in the morning.

When I went to check on the kids, Tori inquired, "How can you sleep on this thing?" But, I assured Tori that the diplomatic rocking of the Cat would soon have both children soundly snoring. We cleared the kids through customs in West End, Tortola, and then began island hopping through the Bvi.

"I'm bored" was naturally not a factor on this trip and my first concern was a non-issue. Prior to leaving on our pilotage vacation, I made journals for Tori and Kacey filled with maps and photos of the Bvi.

Each morning we would discuss assorted topics along with the history of the Bvi, the culture, music and language. The kids had an chance to write down their thoughts and the journals later proved to be overwhelming keepsakes for Show and Tell.

The kids loved exploring pirate caves on Norman Island, jumping off the Willie T at the Bight, and snorkeling for hours nearby the Indians.

They enjoyed the "main drag" on Jost Van Dyke. They decorated and hung a pair of underwear at Foxy's; Tori had her hair braided and beaded at the charm shop; Kacey was introduced to Ting ( a carbonated grapefruit drink) at Abe's By The Sea; and played with Annie's new puppy.

Both kids became fast friends with Anna's children and are still pen pals. The crossing to Marina Cay was busy by studying to man the helm, plotting a procedure on a chart, and playing hide and seek on the Cat.

The Baths on Virgin Gorda was one of their popular spots. Climbing through, up and nearby the boulders without adult supervision was a highlight of their pilotage vacation.

I thought Tori and Kacey might appreciate the Bitter End, mainly because I figured they would need a fix at the outdoor big screen television. To the contrary, they wanted to leave because the resort was, "too fancy" and "not islandy enough." (I think that meant they had to wear shoes and shorts to go into eat, rather than be in swimsuits and barefoot!)

They delighted in playing in the sand at the Beach Club of Cooper Island, chasing goats on Peter Island and swimming with the sea turtles in Great Harbour.

Days were spent snorkeling, swimming, jumping on the trampoline of the Cat, cannon-balling off the aft, telling pirate stories and production up pirate names for each of us. Playing boule and singing with the donkey at Dick's Last Resort, searching for iguanas, and exploring assorted coves while studying to steer a dingy were also a great hit.

They learned how to raise a sail and participated in the daily chores of living aboard. Both kids were in case, granted with disposable water cameras and Caribbean fish guides so they could identify what they saw while snorkeling. By nightfall, they were exhausted and often barely made it through dinner.

My second concern concerning sibling fighting was also a non-issue. We were pleasantly surprised to see how well Tori and Kacey got along. The only seminar in seven days was a brief spat having something to do with "backwash" in a shared can of Ting.

Overall, the pilotage vacation seemed to bring them closer together. My last concern concerning taking the children on a pilotage vacation had to do with what would Tori and Kacey eat since their main diet was pizza and buttered noodles. Since this was my vacation too, other than breakfast, I did not cook aboard.

Fortunately, roughly anywhere we went had Bbq chicken or ribs, which the kids ate. They tried and liked rice and beans, fried plantains, and a variety of new fruits like mangoes.

We were shocked because they even assuredly ate triggerfish sandwiches at Foxy's. Tori did get her buttered noodles on Cooper Island, while Kacey unfortunately developed a taste for fresh Anegada lobster (sorry, Sis!).

Both kids slurped nightly virgin Pina Coladas or Daiquiris - good than any state side slurpee. They thought it was pretty cool to mix their own drink concoctions at Sidney's Peace & Love. Neither child starved. With all the performance and fresh air, they had good appetites at meal time.

Tori and Kacey were very sorry to see their pilotage vacation end. My husband and I have spent many vacations with them, but this was right on the best. The "Bvi" has become as much a general part of their vocabulary as "pepperoni pizza" and "iPods."

Recently, my nephew had to write a paper for his sixth grade language arts class about his idea of the most excellent vacation. He did not need to dream - he already knew. A pilotage vacation on a 47' Catamaran in the Bvi, of course! Since then, we have had any more opportunities to take a Bvi pilotage vacation with the family.

Luckily for all of us, we are going back again this summer.

Alfredo Pizza Sauce

Today, we're going to do something a puny different. Pizza made with a tomato pizza sauce recipe is great, but we want something a puny more...savory. Alfredo pizza is less "dormy" than a tomato-sauce pizza, and will often feature large chunks of chicken and garlic--sometimes even artichoke hearts. It's a good opportunity to experiment with other veggies as toppings, and it's quite hearty. Today, we're going to make an alfredo pizza. And an alfredo pizza starts with an alfredo pizza sauce recipe.

Here's what we need:

Breakfast Pizza

4 tablespoons of butter
1/2 teaspoon of salt
4 tablespoons flour
1 cup of cream
3/4 cup of fresh Parmesan cheese grated from a block

Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add the flour, salt, milk and cheese. It's leading to stir fairly rapidly--cream, when heated, has a tendency to curdle. Once the ingredients have fairly well homogenized, turn the heat up to medium and stir enduringly until the sauce has thickened. Turn the heat down and cover the sauce; you may select to refrigerate it as well. Add more or less cheese depending on taste, remembering that adding too much will cause your sauce to thicken and bind.

I like to make my alfredo pizzas with chicken. You can use fresh chicken breasts, or frozen--that's my preference. Season as desired, pop them in the oven, and then section into morsels to spread on your pizza.

Veggie wise--some habitancy like to put artichoke hearts on their pizza. I'm not certainly a fan of artichoke, so instead I feature purple onions, small pieces of kale, and largish pieces of garlic. It all depends on your taste. Just remember, because you used alfredo instead of tomato-based pizza sauce, you've painted with an entirely different palette.

Enjoy!

Strangest Pizza Toppings - What Some people Would Do to Enjoy Pizza

Pizza is for real one of the world's popular foods. It's something that both vegetarians and meat lovers can enjoy. With pizza toppings, such as pepperoni, anchovies, bell peppers, ham, pineapple and many others, assorted flavors have been created. The best part about this is that habitancy all over the world are able to enjoy these. A myriad of restaurants have been built in order to introduce hungry customers to the attractiveness that is this Italian inspired dish.

However, some habitancy want something dissimilar rather than the usual pepperoni pizza or a Hawaiian themed flavor. It seems that their taste buds aren't satisfied with the quarterly ones sold in some of the top restaurants in their cities. Because of this, they would try to go out of the ordinary and try to make some of the strangest pizza toppings the world has ever seen. These are just so weird that, for sure, you won't imagine eating them.

Breakfast Pizza

Who says fast food and pizza cannot mix? Some people, who are fans of burger chains, try their best to consolidate these two kinds of food. Trying to be creative and at the same time funny, they would place actual burgers and fries on top of the dough and bake these as is. Some would even cut out hamburger pieces and scatter this all over the tomato sauce and cheese. Unfortunately, the end goods would show the cheese (melted due to the heat of the oven) roughly devouring the strange toppings. Is this delicious? We're not so sure.

Some habitancy would even try to put sea food toppings such as sardines, tuna, squid and many others. There aren't too many seafood flavors that is why they try so hard to do this. Some would even try to use turkey and cranberry sauce as the toppings to replicate a thanksgiving theme. The Best Tasting Nutrisystem Foods

In the past, I've written about Nutrisystem and my experiences on it.  One of the most coarse comments that I get is "honestly, how does the Nutrisystem food taste?  Which foods are good and which foods are verily bad?"  I'll riposte this interrogate in the following article.  Obviously, I can't even come close to commenting on every food, as this diet has 120 choices, but I will tell you what I believe that be standouts (both the good and the bad) and I'll contain some of the new supposed "restaurant capability frozen foods" in the list.  The good news is that this diet allows you to customize your box and hand pick your food, so you won't be stuck with whatever that you can't stand.

The Nutrisystem morning meal Foods That Taste Good:  I am very partial to the muffins.  The poppy seed and the blueberry are superior and do not taste like diet food. Also, these are very convenient.  You don't verily need to do whatever to them.

Breakfast Pizza

There are also a lot of bars in the morning meal line up and some are tasty to me, but some aren't. The ones that I like are the chocolate chip, the cinnamon swirl, and the apple strudel.  I do not like the cranberry or the harvest nut, but I'm not a fan of dried fruit.

There are also cereals and oatmeal.  I do verily like the oatmeal.  It doesn't have any weird after taste about it like I suspected.  The blueberry is my favorite. Of the dry cereals, I like the mass Crunch as it is sort of a mix between cheerios and honey nut clusters.

Nutrisystem supper Stand Outs:  There are a merge meals that I verily like in the supper category.  These are the raviolis and the pizzas. You can chose from cheese or cheese and spinach as far as ravioli goes. Both are go and there's no so much spinach in it so that it has a strong taste.  In terms of pizza, you have a few choices, the flat bread, the sour dough and the thick crust.  All is pretty decent, but I'm partial to the flat bread.  If you've going to correlate these in terms of Pizza Hut (but not so greasy and lower fat of course) the flat bread is like thin and crispy, the sour dough is kind of like hand tossed and the thick crust is sort of like a pan.

I also like the vegetarian chili, the tacos (although the shell is more like a tostada) and the chicken sandwich.  In general, I steer clear of the pastas and the stroganoffs.  I don't like for my food to be all mixed together like that, but that's just how I feel about all stroganoffs,  not just Nutrisystem's.

Decent Tasting Snacks And Desserts: I'm going to admit it. The breakfasts and the snacks are my popular part of this diet.  There is very slight that is bad here.  I adore the pound cake, the almond biscotti, the candy bars, and the fudge brownie the most, but the only sweetmeat that I verily don't eat is the Blueberry lemon bar.  Again, I don't like my flavors mixed.  I would've rather had just a lemon or just a blueberry bar, but that's just me.

As far as the snacks go, you'll never mistake the cheese puffs for Cheetos, but they're verily not half bad. They kind of taste like the baked Cheetos. I also like the zesty herb snack mix because it reminds me of the chex mix I often make with my kids.

The Nutrisystem Lunch: In my opinion, this is the feebleness of the foods.  More of these taste bad than the other options.  There are just many soups and stroganoffs here, which we've already established that I don't like.  But, I do like the cheese tortellini, the chicken salad, and red beans and rice.  Most times, I will just order more of the dinners and go light on the lunches with my order.

breakfast - You Must Eat Breakfast!

You are probably spouting all the normal excuses right about now:

I'm not hungry in the morning.

Breakfast Pizza

If I eat breakfast, I am hungry again before lunch.

I don't have time to make a good breakfast.

Fill in your popular excuse ________________.

Let's take a look at these excuses:

I'm not hungry in the morning.

Yes you are. Your body is starving for power first thing in the morning. You have not eaten in 10-14 hours. How could you not be hungry. You have trained your brain to believe you don't want food when you first wake up and your brain has appropriate the starvation technique so it no longer sends you the hunger signals that early.
But, did you know that your body will not start aggressively burning fat until you add some food in the morning. If you wait until lunch before you eat, you have wasted half a day of calorie burning where your body has been trying very hard to conserve power and not burn any fat. This is why you are feeling sluggish. By not eating breakfast, you are contributing to your weight qoute in a Big way.

If I eat breakfast, I am hungry again before lunch.

Good, you should be. This is proof that your body is doing it's job and burning those calories. As long as you keep feeding it, it will keep burning. Eat-eat-eat... This is how to lose weight. Don't believe me? What have you done in the past to lose weight? Starve-starve-starve, right? Did that work? Hmmmm...

I don't have time to make a good breakfast.

Yes you do. If you have time to live, you have time to nourish your body. Breakfast is not pot roast and baked potatoes. It only takes a consolidate of minutes to cook an egg or toast a muffin. You don't comprehend how much more power you will have after a good breakfast. This power will more than make up for the few minutes you took to put in order and eat breakfast.

Your excuse?

Trust me, it is not valid. You must eat Breakfast or you will remain overweight.

If your way hasn't been working, and you know it hasn't, try my way. What's the worse thing that could happen? Nothing? Not likely. Just try it, you will see the many great changes a Breakfast can do for your mind and body.

You are going to eat breakfast, right? Great! I knew you would make the right decision. You will be so pleased with the results.

You are on your way to a much healthier, happier, slimmer you.

Keep it up!

Eat 1 Whole Pizza everyday and Lose Weight - The Surprising Weight Loss Experiment Results

Ever wonder what it'd be like if you could eat your favorite food that you knew was unhealthy... And still lose weight? Well, I wondered that myself. Then I went about looking how I could lose weight eating my favorite food (pizza) everyday.

I have a lot of weight loss clients who have no discipline and just can't eat wholesome for more than a few days... Even if I were to put a gun to their heads (Ok, not really... No gun involved).

Breakfast Pizza

So I have to create out-of-the-box ways for them to lose weight. Anyway, here are the surprising results of my "Pizza a Day Weight Loss Experiment".

Now, one of my favorite foods is the Mexican Style Totino's frosty pizzas. Cost, 98 cents at Wal-Mart. So my plan was to eat 1 of these a day for 10 days.

Here's how I did it:

Breakfast:

I ate 3 scrambled eggs with a 1/2 can of black beans... And 2 tablespoons of sour cream. Ok, with me so far? I'm not eating the pizza every meal. Only 2 meals... And I'm limiting myself to only 3 meals (which I usually don't do).

This is a total of about 415 net calories. I'm not counting the carbs in fiber. The eggs were 210 calories, the black beans were 145 net calories, and the sour cream was 60 calories.

Lunch:

1/2 of the frosty Totino's pizza with someone else 1/2 can of black beans, and 2 tablespoons of sour cream. 1/2 of the pizza equals 360 calories, 18 grams of fat, 36 grams of carbs, and 16 grams of protein. The 1/2 can of black beans has a net total of about 145 calories since I'm not counting the carbs in fiber. The sour cream again is 60 calories.

So this meal was 565 calories.

Dinner:

For dinner, I had the other half of the pizza, someone else 1/2 can of black beans, and someone else 2 tablespoons of sour cream. (Note: Can't you tell that I love black beans! They're high in protein and fiber without any sugar carbs! I think them a superfood!) So this meal was someone else 565 calories.

So my totals... I had about 1545 true calories. 91 grams of protein, 40 grams of fiber, 65 grams of fat, and 142 net grams of carbs.

Fat totals:

11 grams sour cream

36 grams pizza

5 grams black beans

13 grams eggs

Protein totals:

18 grams eggs

3 grams sour cream

38 grams black beans

32 grams pizza

Net Carb Totals:

63 grams black beans

6 grams sour cream

1 gram eggs

72 grams pizza

The only other thing I ate while these days was fruit for snacks... Among the choices... Apples, grapefruit, bananas, blueberries, and raspberries. I didn't bother adding in those calories. I only drank water as well.

Now, the surprising results...

I didn't know what to expect since frosty pizzas are assuredly not healthy. I also was having a lot of carbs. Anyway, in the 10 days, I lost a total of 3 pounds. A success! It worked.

Since then, I've put some of my clients on slightly modified versions of this diet and about 80% of them were able to lose weight. So this gets my thumbs up if you want to lose weight... And, if you only do it for a short period of time. Heck, it's precisely cheap too. Cost less than a day. Woohoo.

So to be clear... You can eat "unhealthy" and still lose weight. I didn't turn anyone with my exercise program. So the weight loss had nothing to do with exercising more.

Would I suggest you to live off of this diet forever? assuredly not. But for 7-10 days, yes, it can help you to lose weight while eating tasty, unhealthy foods. Hmm, maybe I should create an ice cream and potato chips weight loss diet! Nah, just kidding!

Bonus Tip: For a crazy diet like this to work, you need to pick foods that are high in protein and or fiber to base the diet off of... Or use high protein/fiber foods as add-ons in the diet. With this diet, the black beans were high in fiber and protein. The pizzas were "balanced". Anyway, I precisely have created a few more crazy diets like this for my clients based off of different foods. The results for them were similar to the "Pizza a Day Weight Loss Experiment" results.

So don't get set in your mental on how to lose weight. There are many different ways.

If I were to give you a few more diets like this, do you think you could give 1 of them a try and prove or disprove them to yourself?

5 Easy Steps to production Pizza

Almost every person and their grandmother loves pizza. Below are 5 easy steps explaining how to make it.

Step 1: Make the sauce for your pizza. In a skillet, melt butter and olive oil for sauteing garlic and onion. Then, start adding salt, tomatoes, pepper, basil, oregano, and tomato puree. Let it boil and then sell out to a simmer for two hours. Stir every so often and crush the tomatoes with a potato masher as the sauce cooks. When the sauce is as thick as soup, it is done.

Breakfast Pizza

Step 2: Make the dough for the pizza. It is difficult to make homemade pizza dough but worth the hard work. When you eat a pizza made from scratch, you will admittedly taste the inequity and see why it is worth the hard work. Not only will you be able to enjoy the taste of homemade pizza, you will be able to share that with your friends and family.

Step 3: Get the dough ready to go into the pan. To do this, you have to have a rolling pin or a machine to make the dough into crust. You can use a machine to turn the dough into a sheet of dough or you can toss it by hand. You could also use a rolling pin and do it by hand. The type, the size, and the style of the pizza is going to sway how you go about turning the dough into the actual pizza crust.

Step 4: Start putting toppings on the pizza. First, you need to spread the sauce on the dough until it is covered. Leave about an inch or so of dough nearby the edges without the sauce. Then, spread cheese on top of the sauce in an even layer. The cheese will be the base that you put the toppings on top of. You want to save cheese to cover the toppings. Now is where you can get creative with the pizza toppings. There are many different types of toppings you can use together with vegetables, cheese, and meats. Make sure you don't use too many toppings that are high in fat on your pizza or it will end up soggy.

Step 5: Now you're ready to bake the pizza. Heat your oven to the definite temperature and put the pizza in the middle of the town rack so air circulates nearby the pan. You may have to turn the way you bake the pizzas until you get it right.

What Does The average American Eat?

Let's begin by asking a basal question; what is health? We all know the common answer, eating right rehearsal for example. How about a distinct standpoint; the view of condition being not just a lack of illness? Like this.

Good condition is a positive well being that allows for zest of life and makes each day a new excitement. It's the enjoyment of food, with good digestion, spoton utilization and sufficient elimination. It is a lengthened prime of life, without the serious degenerating sicknesses we mistakenly blame on age itself. It is clear, salutary skin, fine muscle tone, maximum resistance to stress, infection and fatigue. It is living up to your fullest potential.

Breakfast Pizza

Now against that standard, are you healthy? And how many habitancy do you know who truly are in optimal health?
What's average, commonplace condition in America? In America it is median and commonplace to:

Be chunky

Eat red beef 2-3 times per day

Have french fries with each fast food meal

Salt food before you taste it

Use candy for an power booster

Consume over 40% of your fat in fat every day

Get a long way from appropriate exercise

Eat junk food 4 or even more times per week

Load a baked potato with butter and sour cream

Have 3-4 colds and other minor diseases every year

Eat for taste and not nourishment

Be stressed and tired

Consume only 12-14 grams of fiber per day instead of thirty

Is constipated or has butt rot

As a woman to be low in calcium

Any of this look familiar? Is this what you want as your average; the very worst of the best and the very best of the worst? If this is median it's not for me; average, normal condition gives only median energy, joy and accomplishment in life. Is that how you need to live? Or do these next bunch of facts look familiar?
Fast Facts on food intake:

27 million eat at McDonalds each year and the number grows by 1,000,000 annual

McDonalds spends billion on advertising

Children 6-14 eat fast food 157,000,000 a month

96% of children at college can recognise Ronald McDonald, only Santa was more recognized

25 percent of Us citizens eat fast food a day

Americans spend 0 billion. On junk food each year

There are close to fifty thousand fast food places across America

There are rather more than five hundred thousand fast food places in the world

200,000,000 M&M's are sold a year

American citizens eat 750,000,000 hot dogs a year

1.2 billion portions of Coke are consumed world wide every day

Drinking soda at morning meal has increased twenty five percent while coffee drinking has reduced

American citizens spend billion. A year on potato chips

Americans spend .5 billion every year on our pets

American citizens spend only billion a year on vitamins.

We truly spend virtually 2x's more on our pets condition and well being than we do on our own. Fantasize if the cash spent on fast food was diverted to purchasing quality supplements. I'd rather decree to live the optimal very best of the finest sort of life.

The median American takes more time organizing a vacation than planning for their condition and wellbeing. Wholly committing to the important changes is going to shape out what supervene you get. When you break it down all of the money spent on junk food that makes a offering to poor condition is more costly than giving our bodies the right sustain it needs.

Wine With Pizza - Tips on Pairing the Two

If you love your grapes, you naturally must drink wine with pizza; however, you also need to match the right wines with the right pizza. Learning to do this can be quite fun.

While there is no "right or wrong" wine with pizza, as there is no right and wrong in pairing wines with fish, you will do best by following some guidelines. Also, there are a boatload of wines, which might make the task of choosing the right one a small daunting. Fortunately, there are fewer varieties of pizzas than there are wines, so choose the pizza first and then find a wine to match.

Breakfast Pizza

Remember: Light wines should be chosen for light food and heavier wines for heavier food. Foods like soup and other light dishes would go well with light wines. More often white wine would be an thorough choice. Stronger foods with fuller flavors go best with stronger wines.

Generally, Italian reds such as Valpolicella or Chianti go well with pizza. Sangiovese is a great choice as is Zinfandel.

Cheese Pizza: Cheese pizzas are a basic type of pizza and are much more versatile than the rest. Those who prefer white wines can go with a full-bodied Chardonnay, as it would go well with the flavor of cheese. It is also an ideal choice for bread and tomato sauce that accompany the pizza. Those who are fond of red can go for Sangiovese or Chianti Classico which are also great matches for a cheese pizza and ordinarily adored as most pizzas that have a red sauce base question a red wine whereas, a while sauced base pizza commands white.

Meat Pizzas: Meat pizzas have a full bodied taste and need a stronger wine. Pizzas with ham are an exception. A stronger flavor like Syrah or a Zinfandel would be a good choice with most meat pizzas.

Hawaiian Pizza: Hawaiian Pizzas are much sweeter than are most other pizzas and would ordinarily need a sweeter wine. A Riesling would therefore be a good choice to go along with a Hawaiian pizza. Alternatives would be light-bodied Beaujolais or a Sauvignon Blanc.

Vegetarian Pizza: The flavors in Vegetarian Pizzas are not as strong as the ones in most meat pizzas. Therefore, a vegetarian pizza would go well with something that does not overpower its mild flavors. A delicate and mild wine like Pinot Noir would therefore be a great choice for a veggie pizza, as it will draw out the sauce's flavor well.
