Breakfast is the first and most important meal of the day. The term breakfast is the combination of two words which are break and fast which generally referred to breaking the fast after the last meal the day before or a kick start meal for the brand new day!

1 - Nasi Lemak

Aromatic rice cooked with coconut milk and pandan leaves! Often being served with sambal, anchovies and peanuts! Besides, hard boiled egg and cucumber are also for garnishing.

2 - Roti Canai

Flatbread or Malaysian pancake found in mostly all the Mamak restaurant here! Despite of being served for breakfast, it can be eaten during lunch, dinner or even supper! Be it curry or dhall or just plain white sugar, it aids in flavoring!

3 - Toast

A type of heated bread which is more firm and can hold up more toppings! Normally, kaya or butter or peanut better or even jam are amongst the choices! Some would even topped it with scramble egg!

4 - Half boiled egg

Commonly being called as the 7 minutes egg by the Western! It can be homemade or just conveniently order from any coffee shop! To add more flavor, a little of white pepper or soy sauce will do.

5 - Noodles

A large variety of noodles are being served in soup, dried or even fried! The most famous one are fried noodles, fried Maggi noodles (Maggi mee goreng in Malay), fried beehoon or fried kuey teow which simply served with an egg and some chillies or sweet sauce or even sambal.

Looking at the list, it might look like a pretty heavy meal for breakfast. But, that is what Malaysians favored. Instead, why not have a hearty meal to start the day?
