7 Dieting Tips to Help You Lose Weight Naturally

I'm going to share with you in this article 7 dieting tips you can follow closely to help you in your weight loss journey. These 7 dieting tips, if followed closely, will definitely help you to boost your energy and vitality, improve your skin tone, make your hair much glossier, and at the same time help you to lose weight fast.

Tip #01 - Eat Organic Foods As Well As Increase Your Intake Of Fruits & Vegetables

The next time you do your grocery shopping, select foods that are organic as well as fill up your refrigerator with more fruits and vegetables.

Tip #02 - Your Choice Of Drinks

Cut down on your intake of alcoholic drinks, fizzy drinks, and drinks with caffeine - if possible, stop drinking such drinks altogether. Instead, opt for drinks such as green tea, which is loaded with antioxidant, and make sure you drink lots of fresh water - about 2 liters daily. The reason is because water will help flush out your system and is also known to help speed up the whole fat burning process in your body.

Tip #03 - STOP Eating Processed Foods

You should stop eating processed foods such as burgers and pizzas, and opt for foods such as oats, brown rice and jacket potatoes - all these foods will help your body maintain a good blood-sugar level and also provide you with energy you need for your daily activities.

Tip #04 - Eat "Good" Fats

Your body will need some "good" fats, which will help boost our body's immune system, as well as making our skin, hair and nails look better.

You can get "good" fats from foods such as oily fish (such as mackerel, salmon, sardines, herrings, olive oil, etc.)

Fish oil capsules are also another good source of "good" fats.

Tip #05 - Eat Foods With Lean Protein

By eating foods that are rich in lean protein will help keep you full for longer periods. It also helps prevent insulin spikes that will lead to energy falls and sugar cravings.

On top of that, foods with lean proteins contain muscle mass, which helps in the whole fat burning process in your body.

You can get lean proteins from foods such as cottage cheese, low fat yogurt, skimmed milk, egg whiles, skinless chicken, beef, kidney beans, tofu and soy products.

Tip #06 - Eat Foods That Are Fiber Rich

Fiber rich foods will help make you full, so that will will not overeat, and gain weight.

An average person could lose around 10 pounds yearly simply by doubling their intake of fiber.

Fiber rich foods are also normally low in their calorie levels. Some fiber-rich foods are strawberries, apples, broccoli, brown rice, beans, and nuts.

Tip #07 - DO NOT skip breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal in the day - you must make sure you eat breakfast everyday so as to avoid hunger pangs later in the day.

To sum up, the above are 7 dieting tips for you and if you were to follow them closely and consistently (most people follow these plans for awhile and they give up just because they did not see significant results - don't do that - follow through the whole plan consistently over a period of time), I can guarantee you that you'll be able to shed some weight off your body in no time.

The above article are some simple tips you can apply immediately to shed off excess fats and weight off your body permanently. To discover more information on how you can successfully lose weight permanently, as well as my secrets to losing 45lbs in 14-days, click here.

Eat Breakfast Properly - The Best Habits to Carry Out In The Morning

Yes you've probably heard it at a young age both at home or school; don't forget to eat a healthy breakfast. We all know it's the most important meal of the day. As it turns out, there is a difference between filling up on empty carbohydrates such as muffins or bagels to actually eating fueling foods for your body for an all-day energy effect.

It's known that making the right choices in the morning makes you make the right choices all day. This is because if you start the day with a healthy habit, you're likely to be doing it all day. Eating foods high in protein is smart as well because it makes you feel much fuller. In addition, that satisfied feeling lasts longer after breakfast compared to other daily meals.

Breakfast Pizza

Protein - I highly recommend eating an egg every day. Buy the natural organic kind and scramble them up every morning as it only take a couple minutes. If you don't like eggs then maybe you'll like yogurt, peanuts, or sliced meat, as they are all high in protein as well. I recommend finding at least fifty grams of protein a day. This means for breakfast, I'd say around a 1/3 that amount; that is if you're going to do the other 2/3 come lunch and dinner.

Whole grains - whole grains, like rolled oats, are always a good source of fiber for the body. It keeps a blood sugar at a steady level and helps subtract LDL cholesterol (which is bad) out of your system. It's highly advised to eat nut butters or lean poultry, such as sliced chicken/turkey on whole grain toast of course.

Fruits and veggies - These are personally my favorite kinds of breakfasts. The reason to this is because it tastes great and as you well know, they're packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Such materials in these foods help rid the body free of radicals and protect you against cancer and heart disease. A great thing to do is mix fresh fruits with soy milk for a quick and energizing smoothie.

So in summary, to make sure you make the right decisions for the morning all you've got to do is put the effort to think about it. Later it will begin to feel natural to you to eat a healthy breakfast. Remember always think healthy. For the last tip of the day I'd like to leave you with this thought, even if you don't have time for a healthy breakfast or don't want to put the effort to such practices, just remember that it's your body and the body is a delicate thing. Take care of it.

Boost Team Spirit! Great Ideas For High School Sports Booster Clubs

July had become our new vacation month. After years of dodging the "dog days" of August up in Lake George, NY our family had to adapt to a new schedule. Starting in 1995, August revolved around High School fall sports and their pre-season practices. So over the years as our four participated in soccer, field hockey and football during the month of August, I became involved with the various team booster clubs. While the kids ran, lifted, sweated and practiced, I was busy with the Boosters getting activities planned for the season. High school sports booster clubs, if run with spirit and enthusiasm, are a great means of boosting team spirit.

Protein Breakfast Shake

In this article, I'll show you how to make a nutritious protein breakfast shake. Bear in mind that making anything during the morning can be stressful because everyone is rushing for time. So the recipes in this article are meant to help you create protein shakes using quick and convenient methods.

Recipe 1: Whey protein breakfast shake.

Breakfast Pizza

This is the simplest form of a protein shake. Simply add 2 to 3 scoops of whey protein powder to milk or soy milk and you are done. Chill the milk if you prefer to consume a cold shake. Chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes can be produced in just a couple of minutes.

Recipe 2: Fruit protein shake.

A protein shake may be high in protein, but low in other types of nutrition such as fiber and vitamins. To compensate for the lack of these nutrients, you can consider mixing fruits in your drink so you don't have to spend time eating them separately. Mix a banana or an apple with your milk and protein powder. A banana will give your shake a frothy texture. Use a frozen banana for maximum taste. You may also wish to add cereal or nuts to your drink.

Recipe 3: Natural protein drink.

If you don't want to spend money on protein powder, which can be costly, then you can make natural protein shakes. Instead of using milk, use soy milk. Mix 3 eggs, nuts, and 1 slice of bean curd together. Throw them in the blender together with a banana and you have a delicious and completely natural protein drink!

Italian Breakfast Casserole - Recipe

Saturday morning:

Sometimes I will get up and throw together this casserole for the family on weekend mornings. I started out adding things I enjoy to eggs and we have finally settled on this recipe. But it is fairly simple, and you can add ingredients according to what you like. I use either pancetta or bacon, but I prefer pancetta. You can also add Italian sausage instead of the pancetta or bacon. This is a fun way to get the family together for a sit-down breakfast. I also recommend serving with Italian espresso or cappuccino.

Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients (serves 5):

1 pound - bacon or pancetta 12 - large eggs 2 cloves - garlic, minced 2-4-ounce cans, sliced mushrooms, drained Salt and pepper to taste 1/4 teaspoon - red pepper flakes 3 - fresh tomatoes, diced 1/2 cup - breadcrumbs (I use the Vigo Italian breadcrumbs with Romano cheese) 4 ounces - Parmesan cheese, grated

Preparation:

Preheat over to 350 degrees F. Cook the bacon or pancetta and place on a paper towel to drain - then dice it up. Add the eggs to a large bowl and beat them. Add the bacon or pancetta, garlic, mushrooms, salt and pepper, red pepper flakes, and tomatoes and mix. Sometimes I mix the tomatoes in with the eggs and other times I place slices on top of the casserole after it has cooked. Actually I like the tomatoes mixed in the best. Pour into a 9 x 12 inch baking dish lightly oiled. Use a rubber cake spatula to get all the egg out of the bowl. Top the egg mixture with Parmesan cheese followed by the breadcrumbs.

Bake for 40 minutes. We enjoy serving it with toast and orange juice. Enjoy!

Serve with toast and orange juice.

Finding Out Why Some Franchise Owners Fail

Buying a franchise business is supposed to be the least risk way to start a business. But is owning a franchise guaranteed to make you money? Not necessarily... the truth is that some business franchises are extremely hard work especially in the fast food industry.
Most people know about the franchise industry due to the fast food franchises that specialise in providing the same quality of food all over the world. They guarantee the same eating experience irrespective of where in the world you buy a meal.
Think about it, in the food industry, you have to open your business in time for breakfast and stay open until late evening. Most fast food franchise owners can easily work a 12 hour day. They can also forget about weekends off as this is the busiest time for sales! This business would only suit somebody who is prepared to work hard for at least 60 to 70 hours a week!
The people who joined the fast food industry in the early days by buying a franchise opportunity have done remarkably well. Now, in many areas, this market is saturated with many different franchises trying to compete for your food money. They range from sandwich shops, coffee houses, burger joints, fried chicken outlets, donut establishments and pizza stores.
As the rates and rents for high street premises have risen in value, the cost of a meal in these fast food franchises have actually fallen when you take inflation into account. This has meant that overheads have risen whilst income streams have dipped. It is now harder then ever to make serious money with a fast food franchise opportunity.
To compete in this ever burgeoning market place, fast food franchisors are now demanding very expensive shop fittings so that the business can be highly visible and comfortable for the customers. They are also offering regular special offers which are often sold at near cost price, making their franchisees next to no money and generating a lot more work.
Another problem for franchise owners is the regular franchise fees that have to be paid to the franchisor. These combined with huge staffing costs and high rentals can all add up to reduce the profitability of the business model.
In recent times the market has become even more competitive with supermarkets now entering the fast food business. Many supermarkets are open 24 hours a day and you can pop in and buy decent food extremely cheaply. They have fast food counters where you can buy fried or roasted chicken, pizzas (made with your own choice of toppings), curries and salads without making a huge dent in your pocket.
Supermarkets also have another weapon in their armoury. With the advance in food preparation techniques and improvements in packaging, cheap ready made meals combined with the falling costs of microwaves mean that some families never need to go near a fast food franchise, even if they do not like to cook.
Even fuel stations have entered the fast food industry. Many outlets now sell meals that you can microwave in minutes after filling up fuel.
The final problem in the fast food industry has been the improvements in food quality and hygiene being demanded by the ever increasing health and food regulations which are designed to protect us from undercooked, stale or contaminated food. Anybody serving food now has to keep extensive records and maintain the food storage areas to precise temperatures. Fresh ingredients, if not used by a certain date have often got to be chucked away. This leads to wastage especially in foods like salad which do not have a high shelf life.
Taking all the above into account, the market is now extremely competitive and in some areas totally saturated. Be very careful if you are deciding to buy a fast food franchise opportunity and do your homework carefully. Make sure you take proper business advice from your accountant and franchise lawyer.

How to Make Homemade Pizza Dough

When it comes to making a homemade pizza, the dough making is the hardest part. If you are like me, you don't like the taste from store bought pizza crusts so you make your own. This recipe is the one I like to use and it does take some time to make but, it will be well worth your efforts. I think it tastes just as good as the crust you get at your local pizza shop.

Pizza Dough Recipe

Breakfast Pizza

1 1/8 cups of warm water (not hot)

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 tablespoons powdered milk

2 teaspoons granulated sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons table salt

2 teaspoons butter, softened

2 teaspoons of active dry yeast

Pizza toppings of your choice

nonstick cooking spray

In a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour, powdered milk, granulated sugar, salt and softened butter. Make a well in the center of your dough and place the active dry yeast down into the center of the well, covering the well with additional dough. Let sit for 1 minute and then add in the 1 1/8 cups of warm water. It is very important to make sure your water is warm and not hot as you don't want to kill the yeast. Mix up the ingredients in your bowl using only your clean hands for approximately 3 minutes.

Cover your bowl with plastic wrap and a clean dish towel. Place bowl in a warm area of your kitchen and allow the dough to rise for 30 minutes. Remove dough from bowl and knead for 1 minute. Cover with a clean cotton towel and allow it to rest for an additional 15 minutes.

Lightly flour your dough board and roll out into a large circle or rectangle (depending on the shape of your pizza pan). Lightly spray your pan with nonstick cooking spray and place your crust on top. Prick your crust with a fork in several places. Top your crust with sauce and your favorite toppings.

Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling hot.

Pizza - What Are the Most Popular Toppings?

How many times have you looked at the pizza coupons in your kitchen drawer and then spent half an hour trying to decide what to order? Of course, if you're single, that's probably a rare occurrence. But if you're not living alone, deciding what pizza toppings to order can be quite an ordeal. (Especially if you have kids!) And it seems the more people involved, the longer it takes to decide what kind of pizza to get. By the time you all agree on the same thing, you're probably sorry you ever dug those pizza coupons out of the drawer!

So have you ever wondered what the most popular pizza topping are in the United States? Most people have their favorites, and are curious as to how their choices compare to the average pizza lover.

Breakfast Pizza

Well, the number one spot when it comes to favorite pizza toppings in America will probably come as no surprise. It's the old standby, pepperoni. Something like 25% of all pizzas sold in the United States are pepperoni and cheese pizzas.

Sausage is in second place, which again should be no surprise to most people. And you can probably guess number three, too. That's right, it's mushrooms. And about 70% of pizza places use canned mushrooms, not fresh ones. Most people ordering pizza seem to prefer the canned, although fresh mushrooms are gaining in popularity.

After that come the veggies (assuming you don't count mushrooms as a vegetable.) Onion is a popular choice for a lot of people, coming in number four on the list.

Olives are number five, with black olives being more popular than green olives by about two to one. After these top five pizza toppings, it's pretty much a tie for the bottom half of the top ten.

Ham, bacon, peppers, hamburger, and tomatoes round out the list. Just for fun, make a note of this list, and the next time you whip out your pizza coupons to order for the whole family, see how your family's topping choices fit in.

How Long Can Ordered Pizza Sit Out?

As every college student knows, pizza never goes bad. After all, you can leave it sitting out all night, eat a slice for breakfast, and head to class, right? Well, the good news is that most of today's college students either have incredibly strong immune systems or are incredibly lucky, because this is not true. Pizza take out has limits as to how long it can set out and still be decent to eat. The meat, cheese, and sauce on a pizza can all grow dangerous bacteria if left at room temperature too long. Here are some guidelines to use with ordered pizza when storing it for a later meal.

Remember, Pizza Is Perishable!

Some foods are considered non-perishable, but pizza is not one of them. If you leave it out too long and then eat it, you can get sick. Pizza has meat and cheese on it, and these can harbor dangerous bacteria, including Staphylococcus, Salmonella, and E. Coli.

Most pizzas contain trace amounts of these bacteria, but these low amounts are not dangerous. As long as the pizza is kept either hot or cold, it is fine to eat. However, when it is left a room temperature for too long, the bacteria begin to grow, soon reaching dangerous levels that can cause severe illness. The dangerous temperatures are 40 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, which is the range that normal room temperature falls in, so leaving the pizza out makes it dangerous, if not deadly.

Understanding the Two-Hour Rule

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), any food, whether hot or cold, that has been left at room temperature for two hours or longer needs to be thrown out. If the temperature is above 90, such as at an outdoor picnic on a hot day, the food needs to be thrown out after just one hour. The best temperature for hot foods is any temperature that is over 140 degrees. Cold foods need to be kept at a temperature of 40 degrees or less.

Keep in mind that your pizza may not arrive at the right temperature. If you transported the pizza yourself or the delivery driver had a long route to take, the temperature could have dropped below 140 degrees before you even started eating it. Use a food thermometer to determine the temperature of the pizza. If it is below 140 degrees, do not leave it out for the two-hour maximum. It has already cooled below the ideal temperature, allowing the harmful bacteria to grow.

Storage Tips for Pizza

If you know that you will need to have the pizza available for longer than two hours, use your oven to keep it above 140 degrees. Put the oven's temperature setting on "keep warm" or a similar choice, and leave the pizza in its cardboard box in the oven. The pizza box will not burn at this temperature, but you will be able to keep the pizza safe.

When you are done with the pizza, store it in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Many people like to store the pizza in its cardboard box. While this is fine health-wise, it can cause the pizza to dry out faster. You can also freeze the pizza. Pizza stored in the refrigerator is typically good for three or four days. You can keep it in the freezer for up to two months.

So the next time you are at a party and are reaching for that now-cold piece of pizza, remember that it is a prime place for dangerous bacteria to grow. If you are the host of the party, keep your guests safe by putting the pizza away after two hours. Remember, you may have eaten left-out pizza in the past, but every time you do, you are playing with fire. Protect yourself by handling your take out safely every time!

Stir in peanut butter while mixture is still warm, blending well. Pour resulting mixture over dry ingredients; mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon. Spread on 11 x 16" cookie sheet with sides. Bake at 225° for 1 hour. Remove from oven, cool, and add raisins. Yields 5 cups.

Wheat Flakes

1-1/2 cups whole wheat flour

1/4 cup soy flour

1/4 cup wheat germ

3/4 tsp. salt

1/4 cup peanut butter

The History of Pizza Hut

The history of Pizza Hut began in 1958 when Frank and Dan Carney opened the first store in Wichita Kansas. Frank and Dan were brothers and best friends. In 1958, they asked their mother to borrow 600.00 and they successfully started the now world renowned restaurant called Pizza Hut. The brothers decided that they wanted the word pizza in the name of the restaurant and since the place itself reminded them of a hut, they came up with Pizza Hut. They based their business on quality and customer service and proved to succeed with both.

In 1964, the brothers decided to change the look of Pizza Hut and they erected the buildings that are universally recognized and related to the Pizza Hut name. In 1970, the history of Pizza Hut made a huge move. Pizza Hut was now publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange. In 1973, Pizza Hut opened its first doors off of American soil. Japan, England, and Canada all housed the first of the international Pizza Hut businesses. In 1977 a huge company named Pepsico merged with Pizza Hut and Frank Carney still remained the leader even with the merged companies. He decided in 1980 it was his time to leave and pursue other personal goals and opportunities. By 1986, there were one hundred restaurants in the United Kingdom and five thousand establishments world wide. The business was really starting to flourish after pan pizza got introduced six years earlier.

Breakfast Pizza

The early 90's consisted of many delivery and restaurant stores opening throughout the United Kingdom and Russia. In 1994 there were over ten thousand Pizza hut open for business world wide. In 1997, PepsiCo decided to focus solely on their drinks business (Pepsi) which resulted in the foundation of Tricon Global Restaurants. Tricon Global Restaurants is known today as the largest restaurant brand in the World. Sicilian pizza was also launched in the United Kingdom in 1997 and proved to be a huge success. In the year 2000, Pizza Hut introduced a new type of pizza called The Edge. This pizza was very unique and unlike any other pizza available. It was a thin pizza with toppings all the way around the edge.

The history of Pizza Hut made a big step forward in 2003 when it was made public that 500 restaurants were now open in the United Kingdom employing a total of over 20,000 people. In 2004 the Big New Yorker Pizza was introduced to the public which proved to be yet another successful and desirable pizza. 2005 brought the launch of the bigger and larger 4 for All pizza. Just this year Pizza Hut came out with their garlic crusted pizza and a larker 4 for all.

Pizza Hut can now be found in 17 different countries and all of the United States. The company has became a world recognized symbol of good pizza. You can locate a Pizza hut in almost every major city in the country.

Home Made Pizza Sauce

There's a huge variety of pre-made pizza sauces available. But if you make your own, you can make it as you like it. The basic ingredient in pizza sauce is plain old tomato sauce. Making your own pizza sauce is really quite easy. I use tomato paste, as it is thick enough that you can add many different things to it.

Basic Pizza Sauce

Breakfast Pizza

1 6-ounce can tomato paste
1 tablespoon dry sherry
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 small onion, minced
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Empty tomato sauce into a glass bowl. Fill tomato paste can half full of water and stir. Pour 1/2 can of water into paste. Add the rest of the ingredients. Blend well, and let sit for at least 20 minutes for flavors to combine.

This recipe makes a thick, really tomatoey sauce. There are many variations you can try, using garlic powder and onion powder instead of fresh. If you prefer a thinner sauce, use more liquid in it.

A really great variation on this sauce is to use roasted garlic instead of fresh or powder. To roast your own garlic, take an entire head of garlic and remove any loose outer skin. Cut just enough off the top of the head so that each individual clove is exposed. Place head in tinfoil, pour two teaspoons of olive oil over top of garlic. Seal up and place in a 400-degree oven for 30-40 minutes. Roasted garlic is much milder than raw and after roasting the cloves become very soft, almost like a paste. To use for pizza sauce, use one or two cloves mixed into the rest of the sauce instead of fresh garlic or garlic powder. Roasted garlic can also be mixed with olive oil, oregano and a little salt for a tasty dip for crusty Italian bread.

The Dynamic Growth of Organic Private Label Products

In an age of packaging, the marketing of a product largely determine its commercial success. Along with nationalized industries, commercial establishments owned by private owners are gradually capturing the modern market with their diverse products. In an era where an increasing number of people are gradually becoming more and more health conscious and overall well being, food materials consumed as part of the daily diet and occasional treats are increasingly being subjected to minute and extreme scrutiny by a large section of the present day consumer circle. While in older times, taste and constituent ingredients of a food preparation were given maximum priorities, today, the focus has shifted to how healthy and beneficial the food ingredients are. Because of these various reasons, along with readymade commercial food products, food products containing organic ingredients are today being made available in most metropolitans. Mostly used directly in their natural forms without being modified in any way by external additives, these organic Food Ingredients have a higher concentration of undiluted food nutrients and are therefore, considered purer in nature. Agcommoditiesinc.com informs you on some of the major types of organic ingredients commercialized today and made available at select Private Label foods outlets.

Breakfast - How to Make It Healthy

When a person has a variety of health issues, they have to make sure they are planning a healthy breakfast menu. Although there might be some ingredients on their breakfast menu that they might enjoy, a person who is struggling with health issues might have to take some of these off the menu. Here are some other things to keep in mind when a person is taking care of their health by planning a healthy breakfast menu.

First for example, if a person has high blood pressure, then of course they have to make sure that nothing they plan on the menu has a lot of salt or sodium. This means for example that if a person is struggling with high blood pressure, they'll have to take bacon off of their menu. They also need to make sure that they take a look at items such as packaged foods. Cereal for example might be a good source of fiber, but cereal might contain a lot of hidden salt, so a person needs to make sure that they are looking out for these. If a person is eating frozen food for breakfast, then they should know that frozen food is notorious for its level of salt or other forms of sodium. A person needs to make sure that they are looking at the sodium levels in the box before they buy frozen food. Or they can also make sure that they are buying fresh fruits and eggs. None of these foods have any sodium, unless a person adds salt to them. They are also very healthy and filling.

Breakfast Pizza

One of the dangers that people have to face when they are planning a breakfast menu, is to make sure that they aren't eating a breakfast that is full of sugar. There are many opportunities for people to eat sugar for breakfast such as syrup, sugar in their coffee and tea, breakfast cereals, and pastries. Again, careful label reading is necessary. If a person wants to sweeten their coffee and tea, then they need to make sure that they use a sugar substitute, particularly if they have diabetes. Fruits and other sources of protein and fiber can be wonderful items to eat for breakfast. Yogurt is very healthy, but one has to make sure that they aren't eating ingredients that are too sugary, particularly the flavors of yogurt than include fruits.

The most important thing when planning a breakfast menu, is to make sure that it is filling. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so a person needs to make sure they are getting a wide variety of food to eat. It's important to make sure that when they are trying to be healthy, they are not starving themselves during breakfast. Otherwise, they'll be hungry the rest of the day, and they'll be more likely eat foods that are fattening, or that are dangerous for any health conditions that they might have. One more thing for a person to keep in mind when planning a healthy breakfast menu, is that they don't have to eat traditional breakfast food. It's very common in cultures around the world to eat foods that Americans might consider to be lunch or dinner food. As long as the food is nutritious and filling, if a person feels like eating it for breakfast, they are more than welcome to do so. After all, it taste the same for breakfast as it does for lunch and dinner!

Three Healthy Breakfast Recipes

You've heard it before, time and time again - "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" - but in our hectic, on-the-go society, people often rush through breakfast or skip it altogether. Try these 3 easy healthy breakfast recipes to start your day off right.

1. Spicy Scrambled Eggs

Breakfast Pizza

I love spicy food! This zesty breakfast is sure to wake up your taste buds.

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons of butter, olive oil, or coconut oil

1/2 cup diced pepper, orange or red

1/2 cup diced onion

2 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup cheese

Sea Salt

Ground Pepper

1/4 cup salsa

1/2 avocado

2 whole wheat tortillas or slices of toast

Heat one teaspoon of butter or oil over medium heat in a skillet. Add pepper and cook until soft, then add onion. When the diced onion begins to sweat, remove the pepper and onion from a skillet and save them on a plate. Rinse the skillet clean.

In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs with milk. The milk will make the scrambled eggs extra fluffy. Season with salt and pepper. Add one teaspoon of butter or oil to skillet. Add egg-milk mixture and cook over medium heat, constantly stirring with a spatula. After a couple of minutes, when the eggs are nearly scrambled to your liking, add the pepper, onion, and cheese.

Use pepper jack cheese for an extra kick! For added spice, sprinkle hot sauce, ground cumin, or paprika over the eggs.

Serve with fresh salsa, avocado, and whole wheat toast or tortillas. If you're in a hurry, you can make a breakfast sandwich or breakfast burrito! Sometimes I add other ingredients to the scrambled eggs, like diced tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, or spinach.

2. Fruit & Protein Breakfast Smoothie

There's nothing like a drinkable breakfast when you're in a hurry.

Ingredients:

2 cups fresh mixed berries (whatever's in season)

1/4 cup pomegranate or acai berry juice

3 tablespoons honey

1 cup silken tofu

1 teaspoon ground flaxseed

1 cup silken tofu

Simply combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. The tofu provides protein; the flaxseed provides fiber as well as omega-3 fatty acid; and the juice and berries provide a healthy dose of antioxidants.

3. Homemade Breakfast Bars

I like to make these homemade breakfast bars over the weekend and save them as a back-up breakfast throughout the week. It seems like there's always at least one morning during the week when I just don't have time to cook.

Ingredients:

1 cup peanut butter or almond butter (I prefer organic)

3/4 cup honey (I prefer raw honey)

3 cups rolled oats

1 cup toasted almonds, slivered

1/2 cup raisins (or another dried fruit, like cranberries)

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Grease an oven-safe pan with butter, or spray it with cooking spray. Preheat oven to 350. Over a medium flame, cook the peanut butter and honey in a saucepan for about five minutes, whisking until the mixture has melted. Stir in the vanilla and cinnamon, then add the oats, almonds, and raisins. Bake for 15 minutes, let cool, and cut into squares.

These homemade breakfast bars will last for about a week in the fridge, and they'll last for several weeks if you wrap them up and stick them in the freezer. They go great with an apple, banana, or another piece of fruit. It's easy to grab one when you're on the run, and they're much healthier than store-bought breakfast bars that are full of corn syrup.

Now that you have these quick, tasty breakfast recipes, you have no excuse to skip breakfast. It really is the most important meal of the day because it gets your metabolism going. People who skip breakfast have a harder time losing weight. Try to include protein in your breakfast, as it will help curb your appetite throughout the day, and try to include complex carbs like whole wheat and fruit, as they'll provide energy and help control hunger.

Campfire Cooking Recipes - Pizza

One of the little known campfire cooking recipes is for pizza. Try the advice below and you'll make a tradition of having pizza while camping!

Start by purchasing pre-made crusts from the grocery store or making your own crusts the night before you leave on your camping trip. You will need to take along a frying pan for cooking the pizza so it would be a good idea to pack the crusts in the pan so they don't break while in transit. The frying pan will also provide an even surface while cooking so the crusts don't crumble and break. If you are going to want to add meat to your pizza such as browned hamburger or sausage, purchase lean meats at the store and prepare from home. Some other meat toppings may include bacon, chicken or salami. Pick whatever you normally enjoy on your pizza. Put the meat in an airtight container after it has cooled and store overnight in the refrigerator. If you will be traveling with foods that may go bad if not refrigerated, take along a cooler with ice and keep the foods safe for consumption.

Breakfast Pizza

After brushing on some olive oil, spread tomato sauce and the desired spices onto the crusts. At this point, consider adding some chopped garlic for great taste. Add the toppings of your choice to the pizzas. Try tomatoes, pepperoni, shredded cheese and assorted vegetables to create your specialty pizza. Great additions to the pizza might be mushrooms, green peppers, onions and zucchini. Remember that the crust will be the closest to the fire and it won't take long for the crust to brown. If you have a lot of toppings that will need heating through, the crust may burn. If you add the vegetables on top of the cheese, the cheese is not likely to overcook. When you have finished creating your pizza, cover the pan tightly with tin foil. It may be beneficial to spray the foil with nonstick spray so the melted cheese will not stick. Move away the hotter coals from the bottom of the fire and nestle the pizza pan into the bed underneath. To cook the pizza from both the top and the bottom, add a few hot kindling pieces on top of the foil. This will cook from the top and the bottom and ensure even heating.

If you would like try a different tasting pizza, consider using cooked chicken and barbeque sauce instead of pizza sauce. The smoked taste will really come through after cooking on a fire.

Once the cheese is hot and bubbly, the pizza is ready to enjoy. Take care to remove the foil as steam has likely built up in the container and may burn you. Allow the pizza to cool as the insides are very hot. Nothing spoils a camping trip like a burned tongue!

What To Eat While On Your Next Camping Trip

What To Eat While Camping

One of the most fun times you can have while camping is cooking for the group. Cooking is generally done over a fire or on a grill. You should bring foods that are easy to store and keep fresh. You should include snacks for the trail as well as foods to prepare for each meal. Perishable items should be stored in a refrigerator or in a cooler on ice.

Breakfast Pizza

Breakfast

Start your day off right with a breakfast that will get you ready for a day of hiking or exploring. Slice up some mushrooms, onions, bacon and potatoes and grill in a skillet over the fire until done. Mix eggs with a little milk and pour over the mixture to heat until the eggs are fully cooked. This is a great skillet meal that is easy to prepare and clean up. Another easy meal to prepare is a breakfast taco. Cook some eggs and place inside a tortilla with cheese and picante sauce. If you feel a bit more adventurous, try a breakfast pizza using pre made crusts and eggs. You can cook the eggs any way you like them and add bacon, potatoes or sausage. Heat the pizza crusts over the fire and top with your egg mixture and cheese.

Lunch

Keep lunch simple and easy to prepare and clean up so you get back to your adventures. Sandwiches are a great lunchtime treat using easy to store and prepare foods. Sliced lunch meats with vegetables on bread make the perfect pick me up. For a hot side dish to accompany the sandwiches take some frozen French fries, chili and cheese sauce; combine them in foil, wrapping it tightly. Throw the package on the fire and cook until the fries are cooked through and then enjoy your gooey chili cheese fries.

Dinner

Dinner consisting of a hearty stew is a great option. Using canned vegetables, mix equal parts of your favorites in a heavy pot. These can include corn, peas and beans. Also add a can of chunk chicken and pre made barbecue pork. Add two cans of tomato sauce and two cans of chopped tomatoes and simmer slowly over an open fire for a filling stew. If you went fishing and were lucky enough to make a catch, fry it for dinner. After cleaning the fish, cut it into fillets. Combine one can of beer with two eggs until thoroughly mixed. To that add twelve ounces of flour, two teaspoons of baking powder and salt and pepper to taste. Dip the fish in cornstarch then the batter. Place it in hot oil and fry until the batter puffs. This is a great way to enjoy the efforts put forth after a day of fishing.

Trail Snacks

No camping trip is complete without snacks to prepare and bring while you are out on a nature hike. Walking and hiking is hard work so you should bring some foods that will help boost your energy. Popcorn popped over an open flame is a fun way to prepare the next day's snack. Trail mix is a traditional option and is limited to only your imagination. Use a combination of hearty ingredients with sweets. Combine granola, raisins, chocolate chips, M & M's, cereal, dried fruits and nuts. Use whatever combinations you like.

My favorite camping meals though, are made with pudgie pie makers (also called pie irons). They are made of cast iron or metal and have long handles. Our family uses pudgie pie makers to meal delicious treats for lunch and dinner. Bread is the staple ingredient in making a pudgie pie. My favorite is grilled cheese. To make one, butter two slices of bread. Place the buttered side down in the pudgie pie maker. This will prevent the bread from sticking. Place a cheese slice on top of each slice of bread. Close the pudgie pie maker. Place in the coals of your campfire. It will only take a few minutes for the pie to cook. Turn the pie maker after about a minute. Watch your sandwich closely. Depending on how hot your fire is, the sandwich will cook very quickly. Ham and tomato are also very good additions to your cheese sandwich.

Pizza pudgie pies are popular with our family too. Again, butter two slices of bread and place the buttered side down in the pudgie pie maker. Add your favorite pizza toppings (ours are canned pizza sauce, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese). Close the pudgie pie maker and place in the coals of your campfire to cook. Be careful when removing pudgie pies from your pudgie pie maker. Both the pudgie pie maker and your sandwich will be very hot.

Another favorite type of pudgie pie that our family enjoys are dessert ones. Butter your two slices of bread and place the buttered sides down in the pudgie pie maker. Spoon in some of your favorite prepared pie filling (cherry or apple are our favorites). Cook in the fire and enjoy.

And of course, no camping trip is complete without making smores. They're also very easy to make. Start by roasting a marshmallow over your fire. Once your marshmallow is warm and gooey, stick it on top of a graham cracker and a piece of a chocolate bar, and then top with another graham cracker.

Cooking while camping can really be a lot of fun. Preparing foods should be easy and require little clean up and use few pots and pans. At the end of the night, though, no camping trip would be complete without toasting marshmallows. Cut some branches and skewer large marshmallows. Hold each stick over the flame until brown and toasty. It makes a great, gooey dessert and an ideal end to your day.

Bed and Breakfast Granola

This is a lovely healthy homemade cereal - perfect with natural yoghurt and fresh fruit. It tastes far better than any packet cereals and you know exactly what is in it. You can make a batch then keep it for a while in an airtight container.

Customise it for your own B&B by adding different mixtures of nuts, seeds and dry fruits ( add the dry fruits after it has cooked and cooled ).

Breakfast Pizza

I recommend that you time making it for the same time your guests are due to arrive as it fills the kitchen and house with a lovely warm, welcoming caramel scent!

Bed and Breakfast Granola

3 cups rolled oats 1/2 cup flaked almonds 1/2 cup wheatgerm 1/2 cup seed mix ( sunflower, sesame, pumpkin ) 1/2 plain wholemeal flour 4 tablespoons soft brown sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Mix together all of the dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Whisk together the wet ingredients until thoroughly mixed together.

Pour the wet onto the dry and mix really well till all of the dry ingredients are coated.

Throwing A Fantasy Football Draft Party

When a bunch of guys get together to talk football usually all you need to keep everyone happy is pizza and beer. But, since it actually involves work, a successful fantasy football draft party has a few more important parts.

Set up a large space with enough seating for everyone in your league. Comfortable seating like recliners or couches is a plus, but kitchen chairs will do in a pinch. If you're planning to seat your members in a living room or den rather than at a table, provide clipboards to serve as writing surfaces. Be aware that some of your members may arrive with laptop computers so providing work surfaces like portable tables is a good idea. Of course you'll also need adequate outlets nearby in case anyone needs to plug in.

Collect enough pencils for everyone in your league plus a few extras. Someone always shows up with nothing to write with. Small pads for taking notes can also be helpful. Print out enough draft sheets for each member, being sure to make a few extras.

Music, while an important part of a normal party, should be turned off or kept very low so that members can hear one another's selections. If your draft day coincides with a pre-season game, keep the sound turned off so that people can watch but not get distracted by the play-by-play.

If you have members who are unable to make the draft in person, you will need to set up either a conference call or an instant messaging session so that they can make their selections. Consider using a landline for your conference call since cell phones may lose the connection at a critical moment. Agree ahead of time what instant messaging software you will use and test your connection before everyone arrives.

Pre-order your food and decide when you'll have it delivered. Because some leagues are large enough that the draft lasts all day, some hosts like to provide food throughout their party, starting with breakfast and ending with lunch and snacks. Small leagues might consider taking a break halfway through the draft to have lunch. Finger foods like sandwiches or pizza are easy to eat while working. Load up a cooler with beer, soda and ice and bring it into the draft room. That way, members won't miss out on the action going back and forth to the refrigerator.

Running a Bed and Breakfast - B&B Website Facts

If you are running a bed and breakfast you must be aware that these days a website of some kind is absolutely vital. More and more people are searching online, all over the world. Last month Google logged over 9,000,000 searches for bed and breakfast.

Which from your point of view is an absolutely nonsense figure. Worthless.

Breakfast Pizza

Because none of those nine million plus people was looking for your bed and breakfast. Many people trying to sell you a bed and breakfast website will attach some kind of importance to that figure but what you need to know are the facts, not some clever sales blurb.

So here's fact one. Let's say, for example, that you are running a bed and breakfast in Boise, Idaho. People looking in your area will not search for "bed and breakfast" because they'll get 36,800,000 results (as of today) and most of them will be of no use at all. What they'll search for is "Boise Idaho bed and breakfast" or "b & b Boise" or something like that. So that's where you want your site to appear in the results. If you are doing your own website work, make sure you target those things when you write your text. If you are getting someone else to do your B & B website then make sure that's what they are doing. Ask them what "keywords" they are targeting. If they don't understand what you are saying, get someone else!

Fact number two. Submitting your website to 100+ search engines is a waste of time and, as most people will charge you .00 plus for the privilege, a waste of money too. If you submit to the top three search engines you will cover 95% of searches and you can do that yourself, in ten minutes, for free!

Fact number three. You cannot afford an effective search engine positioning company for your existing website. If you are running a bed and breakfast, it doesn't matter how profitable it is, professional SEO and positioning is beyond you. Sure there are people that will offer to do it for you, for a couple of hundred bucks a month, but it will only be marginally effective and as soon as you stop paying you will begin to slip out of the rankings again.

Fact four. There is a solution. What's more it is a solution you can implement and run yourself for next to nothing. For less than the cost of a family-size pizza each week. Whether you already have a website or not, professional blogging is something that everyone running a bed and breakfast should be investigating.

Fresh veggies, fruits, salads and lean meats are some of the smart choices you can make to get rid of your usual french fries and pizza. You should start your day with a healthy breakfast with lean protein like egg whites, a high fiber food like oatmeal and/or some fresh fruits.
You Should Consider a High Fiber Diet
Healthy snacks of fiber rich food helps your digestive system to work efficiently. Fiber rich food is not only helpful in your fat loss but also helps to prevent heart attacks and keeps a check on diabetes. You Should Move More
