How to Make the Ultimate Breakfast For Romantic Mornings in Bed!

In this article I am going to share with you my personal secret recipe for making what my girlfriend describes as the ultimate fried breakfast. I say fried breakfast but really it's relatively healthy and super delicious. I love waking up on a Saturday morning going for a stroll down to the local shops to pick up my ingredients, I usually grab a cheeky coffee as well! Give this a go and I promise you won't be disappointed. This recipe serves two so it's perfect for the romantic "lazy" morning in bed.

What you will need.

Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients:

4 Free Range Eggs (It's very important to use fresh eggs for poaching)
4 Rashers of Organic Smoked lean back bacon
A handful of seasonal mushrooms
Garlic
Butter
4 Slices of Organic wholemeal bread
A drop of vinegar
Salt & Pepper

Equipment:

Shallow frying pan
A griddle
Grill
Kitchen foil
Knife
Spatula
Kettle

The method:

Grill your bacon until the fat goes crispy and drain away any excess fat. Put to one side. Chop the mushrooms so they are nice and chunky, fry in butter and chopped garlic until they have gone slightly golden in colour. Fill a shallow frying pan with boiling water and heat until bubbles cover the surface of the water. Add some salt and a few drops of vinegar to the pan and carefully crack the eggs into the water. If the eggs are fresh they should instantly begin to go a solid white colour and form into a nice little overall shape. Give the eggs a little splash of water but make sure not to be too rough! Pop your bread into the toaster. Grab your plates, butter your toast, add the mushrooms and bacon to the plate, carefully lift the eggs out out of the water using a spatula and place on the toast. Your breakfast is now ready to serve! Enjoy with a nice cup of tea.
