A Make at Home Version of California Pizza Kitchen's Bbq Chicken Pizza

At one time pizza meant tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. Maybe a few mushrooms or green peppers if you were feeling adventurous.

Not any more.

Breakfast Pizza

Not you can get just about anyone on a pizza. If you can dream it, there is probably a pizzeria that will do it. Mango Tandoori Chicken, Pear, Gorgonzola Cheese, Jamaican Jerk, Crab, Lobster, Greek Veggies, Eggplant, Pesto, Blt and Shrimp are just a few of the ideas and choices available.

Often known as "California Style", these anyone goes pizzas have taken the country by storm and show no signs of letting up.

One of the major players in this movement is the California Pizza Kitchen. And their bestseller is the Bbq Chicken Pizza.

Now you can make it at home.

Make at Home Version of California Pizza Kitchen's Bbq Chicken Pizza

Ingredients: (See first note below)

Chicken:

1/2 to 1 pound of boneless/skinless Chicken Breasts cut into 1/4 inch pieces 1 tablespoon Olive Oil 2 tablespoons Bbq Sauce
Pizza:

1 basic Pizza Dough Some Cornmeal, Semolina or Flour for easy handling of the Dough 1/2 cup Bbq Sauce 2 tablespoons shredded Smoked Gouda Cheese 2 cups shredded Mozzarella Cheese 1/2 cup Red Onion Pieces - sliced into 1/8 inch pieces 2 tablespoons chopped fresh Cilantro
Directions

Preheat the Oven to 500 Degrees (see second note below)

Cook the Chicken:

Fry the Chicken in the Olive Oil over medium heat until just cooked - about 5 to 6 minutes. Do not overcook. Set in refrigerator until chilled. Add the two tablespoons of Bbq sauce and toss to coat. Set aside.
Assemble the Pizza:

Using a large spoon, spread Bbq Sauce evenly over the prepared dough. Sprinkle Smoked Gouda over the Sauce. Cover with 1 1/2 cups Mozzarella. Distribute Chicken pieces over cheese. Sprinkle onion pieces over top.
Bake the Pizza:

Place the Pizza in the Preheated oven and bake until the town is bubbly - about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove pizza and sprinkle with Cilantro. Slice and Enjoy.

Note: The amounts listed above will make a Large pizza (up to 18 inches.) If you crusts, oven or appetites are smaller, either halve the ingredients or make two pizzas using half the ingredients on each.

Note: The hotter you can make your oven, the good it is for cooking pizza. This is the major difference in the middle of Pizzeria pizza and homemade pizza. The professional ovens in a Pizzeria will crank up many times hotter than the median home oven. One thing you can do is to buy a good Pizza Stone. A Pizza Stone is a big piece of tile you stick on the bottom shelf of your oven and just leave there. It does any things to help with baking but generally it holds and concentrates the heat, thus production the oven hotter and more efficient. This is especially good when cooking pizza.

Mexican Chicken Pizza Recipe - How to Make a Pizza at Home With a Perfect Blend of Ingredients

The ingredients in this Mexican Chicken Pizza are a perfect mixing of flavors. Feel free to add or subtract ingredients depending on what you like best, but this is a great recipe to work from. Fun and easy to make. You can use a large cookie sheet or a couple medium pizza pans to cook on.

Mexican Chicken Pizza

Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients:

Frozen Bread Dough (White or Wheat) or Store Bought Pizza crust A Little Vegetable Oil Cornmeal
Refried Beans, cooked and thinned with water. BBQ Sauce, your favorite flavor from the grocery store. Jack Cheese (or any combo of Jack, Mozzarella, & Cheddar), shredded Chicken, cooked and shredded Red Bell Pepper, chopped Red Onion, chopped Black Olives, sliced Jalapeno Pepper, sliced thin, seeds removed (optional) Cilentro, chopped Salsa
Directions:

Pizza Crust: Defrost one loaf of the frozen bread dough according to directions. It seems to work best defrosting it slowly so it gets large and fluffy before you roll it out using a rolling pin. Put flour on your cutting board so the dough doesn't stick. If it is easier to purchase a premade pizza crust in your grocery store that will also work.

Grease your cookie sheet or two medium pizza pans using any kind of vegetable oil. One of my secrets to a good homemade pizza is putting some cornmeal on the pizza pan after you oil it. The cornmeal kind of acts like little ball bearings, keeping the dough from sticking to the pan, plus it adds a great flavor to any pizza.

Sauce: This will be your refried beans and BBQ sauce. Cook and crush your beans adding some water to make a thinner paste. Spread on the crust so it is a thin layer. Drizzle with your favorite BBQ sauce. A great mix!

Toppings: Spread shredded cheese on pizza to cover. Top with chicken, red bell pepper, red onion, black olives, and jalapeno pepper. Add a little more cheese on top.

Bake: 400° for about 15 minutes. Check it occasionally making sure it doesn't overcook. Cheese will be starting to bubble in center.

After baking, sprinkle the pizza with cilentro and your favorite homemade tomato salsa to add a wonderful fresh flavor.

Some pizzerias will add chopped tomatoes on top for a delectable finishing touch to their pizza, but in this case an authentic mexican salsa will finish your Mexican Chicken Pizza perfectly.

Chicken Pizza Recipe

Pizza is the kind of food that hardly anyone can resist specially children just love it. The best thing about making pizzas at home is that you can use anything, including leftovers, to make pizza toppings. This is a chicken pizza recipe having chicken topping and is also known as fajita Pizza which is very popular version of pizza served at many pizza shops.

Ingredients for Chicken Marination:
1/2 kg chicken boneless
1/2 tbsp roasted cumin powder
1 tsp white pepper powder
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt to taste

Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients for Pizza Topping:
Capsicum cut in squares
Butter Mushrooms cut into halves
Black Olives
Green Olives
Mozzarella cheese
Cheddar cheese
Pinch of Oregano
Pinch of Rosemary

Cooking Instructions:
Marinate all chicken pieces in the spices listed above for chicken marination and leave them for 30 minutes. After that you can either steam the marinated chicken or you can shallow fry it. To cook chicken on steam, you have to boil water in a deep sauce pan and place chicken pieces on the strainer and put the strainer over boiling water. Then cover the pan and cook on low heat for 15 minutes until chicken becomes tender. If you want to shallow fry chicken pieces, put 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan and then put marinated chicken pieces and cook for 10-15 minutes until chicken become dry and tender. Now you have to assemble the pizza. Take a pre-made pizza dough and spread it onto your pizza pan. Now make a layer of pizza sauce on it, put the chicken pieces evenly, make a cheese layer as much as you like and put some pieces of vegetables mentioned is the pizza topping list. In the end, sprinkle some oregano and rosemary to add great pizza odor. Now you can put the pizza pan in preheated oven for 10 minutes at 250 degree centigrade and turn on both upper and lower flame. Take out the pizza after 10 minutes when it turns light brown from sides and all the cheese melts. For right baking, reduce the oven temperature to 200 degree centigrade after 5 minutes and turn off the lower flame as well. It will make your dough soft from inside and have wonderful color on top.

Garlic Chicken Alfredo Sauce For Your Pizza Or Pasta

This Alfredo sauce recipe is easy to make. This variation of a very tasty recipe is one that is popular in my household.  Just add a chicken breast with lots of garlic and you have a great tasting garlic chicken Alfredo sauce for your pizza. You should be careful in the preparation of this topping. If you cook the cheese too long it will begin to separate and not look so appetizing. It still tastes great, but it should look creamy and mouth watering.

This Homemade Alfredo Sauce also makes a great sauce for your pasta. You can use a fettuccine noodle and create a wonderful tasty Fettuccine Alfredo dish. Be sure you cook your noodles (Al Dente) not to too soft. If you are making pasta you can also try adding some butter to make your sauce creamier.

Experiment with your own herbs and spices. No recipe is cast in stone. We all have different tastes and you might come up with your own very tasty and unique Alfredo Sauce.

Ingredients:

2 cups of half and half

3-4 cloves of fresh garlic chopped

1/2 cup of Romano cheese

1/2 cup of Asiago

(You can substitute Parmesan-Reggiano or any of your favorite Italian cheeses)

1 teaspoon salt,

1 teaspoon oregano,

1 tsp garlic powder

A dash of nutmeg

2 tablespoons flour

Pepper and salt to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Cooking

Chop your chicken into bite size pieces and gently sauté in olive oil until lightly brown and remove from the heat

Start sauteing the chopped garlic in a tablespoon of olive oil until lightly brown. Be careful not to burn your garlic, it will make your entire Alfredo sauce bitter. Add all the other ingredients except the cheese.

Heat the creamy mixture to a boil and then let simmer until it thickens. Add your cooked chicken to your mixture and stir until warmed. The last thing you do is add all of the cheese and then top on your pizza or fettuccine noodles.
